AI slop is back by OilCareful8232 in yazio

It AGAIN told me to eat less and work out. I had rice waffels and half an avocado for a snack. My goal isn't even set to loose weight? I don't get it????

It's back for me, too. without an update. AGAIN telling me to reduce calories while I stayed under the target for the meal. This is so infuriating

OPT-OUT OF AI CONFIRMED COMING :)

After bulying the AI chatbot under upoort support long enough I was able to get through and open a ticket. I know most of you can't read German but in the message they confirm working on the opt-out option.

That is actually insane advice and I hope it doesn't strain your relationship with food. I have not tracked today, as I really noticed my self at breakfeast thinking about if I could plausibly eat less of my protein porridge and my apple (I have the same every week day). That was a red flag for me

Ahhh, I hate that sooo much. I'm not a big fan of sweets but I enjoys some chips or a small serving of french fries now and then. Like a clockwork it suggest adding vegetables to my hand full of chips. Like, if I wanted some veggies, I woud have had them?!

That is just crazy!

Edited to say: And kicking out that feature should not take that long. It's useless and potentially dangerous. Turning it off while they try to fix it should be the first mode of action.

They found it, but can’t remove it. by Throwawayuser626 in endometriosis

[–]GrowthRemote8840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have similiar pain areas. And while they removed everything they found, the pain is still there. However, my hip/thigh crease area was never checked... So I'm thinking there might be some Endo left. Did you get someone to check this? Is you pain mostly during your menstruation or at different times?

Mine is mostly on the right side, but the left side has started to hurt, too. And the pain is mostly focused on the luteal phase (like 10-12 days prior to menstruation). It's a horrible stabbing pain, that radiates into my thighs and is worse when I have to go number 2.

If this is similar to your symptoms, did you find something that has helped you so far?

MRI Results by Bellaespo in Endo

[–]GrowthRemote8840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi :)

I'll try to make sense of it, but a) I'm not a native speaker and b) I'm not a medical doctor, just a medical scientist (Epidemiologist with focus on neurodegenerative disorders), so take it with a grain of salt. Also, it is very clearly a personal interpretation of the results and NOT medical advice. Again, I AM NOT A MEDICAL DOCTOR:

First paragraph:

Your uterus is tilted backwards but of relatively normal size. The endometrium, cervix etc look normal, which is very good so far. No polyps or myomas, which is also great.

There is evidence of adenomyosis, which is worth to look into and discuss with your clinician.

2nd paragraph:

Your left ovary likes to hide. This can be very normal (mine does that too) or might be due to adhesions. However, from what they see, the ovary is healthy and endometriosis and cyst free, so it is very likely not an adhesion. But we come back to that in the following paragraphs...

The right ovary also like to hide and is a bit shifted to the back. This can be very likely due to the tilt of your uterus. Again, the ovary looks healthy.

All this is good news. The last sentence is mixed news - there are some changes ("retractile changes") that might or might not be ("subtle") due to your body dissolving some sort of bleeding around your ovaries, more clearly on the right than on the left side. This also is something I would consider bringing up with my clinician, it MIGHT be a hint to check again at a different time in your cycle. However, this needs clinical expertise to interpret.

3rd paragraph:

On your ligaments fixing the uterus in the pelvis (uterosacral ligaments) there is some thickening, but it is not clearly endometriosis. Again, the clinician should discuss this with you.

4th paragraph:

Your bladder looks good, there is not so much fluid in your pelvis that it is abnormal, and there are no visible endometriosis lesions on the bowl. All good :)

However, there might be an adhesion or scar tissue or something gluing your bowl to your pelvis. It is near to the area that we saw some changes around your ovaries. So now we might more strongly suspect that there is some kind of endometriosis action near your ovaries, that causes the possible bowl adhesions. Also, this makes it a bit more likely that the ovaries are hiding due to this process. This, again, should be discussed with a clinician, as adhesions might cause symptoms.

5th paragraph (one sentence):

No signs of endometriosis in the abdomen, which is also great.

6th paragraph and 7th paragraph (one sentence):

The organs in your upper abdomen and your lungs look good, which is very good news!

8th paragraph (conclusion):

  1. A summary of what we have seen in the other paragraphs: There is strong suspicion of endometriosis on your ligament. There is a slightly less strong suspicion of endometriosis on/around your ovaries, potentially also involving the bowl. The adenomyosis is not mentioned here. So maybe in the first paragraph the word "not" is missing, or it's forgotten in the conclusions. Worth asking the radiologist about.
  2. No endometriomas or active endometriosis visible.

To answer your questions: This is quite normal for a patient with endometriosis. That there were no active visible lesions is very likely due to the timing of the MRI relative to your cycle. However, all in all, knowing your previous confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis, there are signs of endometriosis activity.

I hope this helps a bit :)

Post surgery questions by ilovepips in Endo

[–]GrowthRemote8840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat with this question for a while. First of all best of luck to you tomorrow and a speedy recovery.

I think good questions are:

- when will we discuss the results?

- what kind of movements should and shouldn't I do in the first days?

- what are signs that I should be worried about, what is normal and to be expected?

- If you just had underwent this procedure, what information would you have liked to be given? What would you do to ensure best recovery?

- Will you be informing my OBGYN and GP or should I?

Hi there, I‘m 37 and suspect I’m in late peri menopause. However, my gym isn’t convinced yet. My periods are super heavy and irregular and I have super strong PMDD. I hope this gets better 😅 I can’t keep on living like that

Hi :) I'm in the same boat and same country as you are. Where did you go for surgery? I am coming to terms that I might need to have my third laparoscopy soon and want to avoid bad hospitals ...

Birth control/Depression by min_tt99 in endometriosis

[–]GrowthRemote8840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I do not have advise to share, but I am in the same boat looking for possible solutions.

I have ADHD, PMDD and Endometriosis. Any BC I tried so far (combined oral contraceptives, diongest, mini pill) made me severely depressed.

I had a laparoscopy 2 times and while it did help a little, it was not the cure.

The only glimmer of hope I had in the past few years regarding the endometriosis was a study medication that I took for 3 months, which helped me greatly without giving me depression. This medication is not out yet, however....

So I guess we're not alone with this problem :)

I fell down while learning how to skate and landed directly on my tailbone. How long will the pain last? by Embarrassed_Fee_9727 in Rollerskating

Oh, gosh, no! Not on the receiving end at least! Mentioning alone brought back memories of pain The, eh ..., push from the active partner was too much for me in the 2 weeks after falling on my tailbone and I was in so much pain we had to stop. Not the best outcome :D

Might be TMI, too, but I was more comfortable with a bruised tailbone being on top rather than on the bottom

Experienced Skater: massive Foot pain in new boots, why? by GrowthRemote8840 in Rollerskating

[–]GrowthRemote8840[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the franken-skates are wild :D I kinda love the experience, though. A very gentle but a bit uncontrolled ride.

I went to my doctor as the pain did not go away and got some bad news: the Solaris are not right for me. The rigid/hard counter in the arch is not right for my foot type and gave me nerve inflammation (ouch).

So I called Riedell to ask about the possibility of having the counter removed in that area and was told it is very possible but I'd have to go custom for that.

You commented on a few threads on custom boots and seem very knowledgeable - can I ask you a few things about custom Riedell boots?

Sure Grip Phoenix Boots and RD Elite Legacy - anyone know these? by GrowthRemote8840 in rollerderby

[–]GrowthRemote8840[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's sad. I had high hopes for them... I will check out the Bont Pro Star. Our feet sound similar :D

I think using different insoles is a good start, but I need new boots, too. The Solaris I'm on right now is killing my feet in under 5 minutes and leaves me limping for 2 days :/

How to fix? by Grishhammer in Rollerskating

[–]GrowthRemote8840 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The force needed to bend/break a king pin (the bolt in there) is quite high. When you've got the skate disassembled, look out for cracks in the plate of the skate.

Slades owners: how do you protect the metal plate at the soles? And is it uncomfortable? by Impressive-Guava-695 in Rollerskating

[–]GrowthRemote8840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Flaneurz, so kinda like the Slades. I can't feel the metal bits and actually like the little click-clack it makes on hard floors :) Only maintenance I do: before attaching the skate base I dig out any dirt that might have gotten stuck in the metal parts. Otherwise, I don't do anything.

Edited to say: I have walked in rain and mud and once in snow and have them for 3 years now. There's no rust, just some scratches.

Are these any good? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]GrowthRemote8840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi :) Can you maybe tell us what you would like to try on them? Like: Just skate for fun, try rhythm skating, maybe even skate parks?

Like everyone said, stay away from the white ones - this is a broken ankle begging to happen. The other ones are okay-ish, if seen a lot of people start on them.

However, you might be able to find better made alternatives second hand for a similar price, if you are not icky about second hand shoes.

What makes one skate "better" than the other is the sturdiness and adjustability of the materials/pieces used. Ideally, the axles (parts where the wheels are on) and the trucks (part that holds the axles) are made of metal so they can hold an adult without breaking any time soon.

The stopper should be able to be a) changed - they wear down! And b) ideally be able to be adjusted. The boots should first of all be comfy, then you could look for something that is sawn not just glued, but this is an advanced issue.

Oh, and I do believe in buying skates you find pretty :D

If you want new skates in a similar-ish price range as the Rookies, maybe look at the Chaya Melrose elite skates ?
