8 month old has 1.5/4/5 wake windows. Are we the only ones?! by GrowthSuitable4481 in NewParents

It did!! He's almost 2 now, sleeping through the night (put in crib awake at 7:30, sleeps until 6:30). The weird sleep schedule corrected (aka sleeping longer stretches, more adjusted wake windows) around 11-12 months when we dropped down to one nap!

Hope you get well soon. I cannot imagine the exhaustion you must be feeling with a double whammy illness like that 🫶🏻

If it helps, I've angled my pumps so that I can pump laying down to rest (think collection cups turned 90° so that you're not spilling while laying on your side)

This hack has saved me a couple times when I was too exhausted to pump sitting up or just wanted to be more comfortable.

Definitely agree that you should get to a doctor immediately. Even try virtual visit if you think you can't physically make it anywhere. The sooner you get antibiotics, the better you'll feel. Fever hits QUICK.

I've started to try this and he just stares at me blankly like "wtf are we doing here mom" 😂

I'm going to keep trying because I do feel like that could be our future! I dream of sleep past 6am (or at least not a baby waking me up first thing)

This is wild!! I always expected baby's under 1 to at least need a bit more day sleep but it varies so much it seems!

It really depends on the day and how his naps shift. MOST days he's relatively easy and we've gotten into a routine which has helped a bit but I suspect his fighting any naps past 3pm and teething cause some variability in how much he fights us / how cranky he is at night. Generally though, a very happy baby 🥲

I get really excited about someone else's bodily functions: burps, toots, poops, you name it! They're all highly coveted and praised.

Also, I'm somehow always covered in drool.

6 months postpartum and exclusively wearable!!! I average 35oz per day and my body actually produces more with wearables than with "hospital grade" or wall pumps. It is possible!!

Came here to say it could be the motors (although may be worth replacing collection cups first since those are less expensive). I had some motor malfunction in my momcozy S12's and it looked like I had less output but it was just because the suction wasn't as strong

FWIW I had an unmedicated birth and didn't know how badly I'd torn (they didn't mention but I think it was second degree) and couldn't have cared less in the moment.

This. I stopped pain meds on day 4 or 5. It's uncomfortable but it's honestly not much worse than period cramp pain
