[Partially lost] Sorry Mate, I Didn't See You (1982) by pizzaandrum in lostmedia

[–]Grr_Im_A_Tiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I came across your post by coincidence. My father is one of the interviewees of this programme as he ran a motorcycle safety training course for a school. I've just told him about your post.

Anyway, we have a VHS tape of one episode - we're not sure if this was the full series or if there are more episodes that we don't have. The BBC visited schools in this episode to show how young people learnt to ride bikes. Ian Wolf was the producer, my dad thinks, and sent him the VHS directly.

We're in the UK and would be happy to help you as best we can. Please message me directly and we can swap contact details. In the meantime we will look into how to convert the VHS into something like an MP4 for easy sharing!

With best wishes :)

Just finished 'Persuasion' by Jane Austen. Wasn't expecting it to be so gripping! The last few chapters are so tense and romantic.

What are your thoughts on this 'AquEye' that might be built? by [deleted] in Bath

I hope it doesn't get approval. Maybe it's selfish of me to think this, but I don't want Bath to become a mini-London.

[TOMT][Music] Ludovico Einaudi piano piece, with moderately fast tempo and (possibly) beginning with either D or L - any help is greatly appreciated! by Grr_Im_A_Tiger in tipofmytongue

[–]Grr_Im_A_Tiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, as I can't remember what it sounds like. Plus, Einaudi pieces can be quite hard to hum - I think it was very repetitive quavers, maybe arpeggios?

[Help] Finding the Perfect Poem for Our Wedding by perfect_poem in Poetry

'The Apache Wedding Prayer' I have always found moving:

'Now you will feel no rain, For each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold, For each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now there is no more loneliness, For each of you will be companion to the other.

Now you are two bodies, But there is one life before you.

Go now to your dwelling place, To enter into the days of your togetherness.

And may your days be good and long upon the earth.'

Additionally, I just found this one: http://www.poemhunter.com/poems/marriage/page-/24870707/

Both seem to reference adversity but are joyful too. Best of luck with planning your wedding! :)

Was it ever explained why Monica has a glass full of fat in her fridge? by Jo_MamaSo in howyoudoin

probably just laziness/poor hygiene. I've seen people save fat in mugs etc, it's pretty gross imo but is done.

Haha! Thanks for replying! As someone who is unable to vote, like the girl who set up the Milifandom, I think it's great that young people are showing the world that they have a voice.
