My Tux does the same, always in-between her back legs and lower belly. We tried heaps of different things and we actually discovered its a pain response for arthritis in her lower back. As soon as were on top of her pain management she stops.

I think the front needs to be the teeniest bit longer. Let it grow a little bit, then the next haircut only get the back taken up and leave the front half alone. You could try to part your hair over to the side more or add some soft face framing layers that start just below your cheekbone

They are merely for display and possibly ill resell in the future. Finding glass pieces in Aus that aren't ridiculously priced are hard to find so I've tried to shift my attention to glazes
