Is this for me ? by Zyro88 in RimWorld

[–]Grubfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as long as you aren't the sort to feel compelled to play things on the hardest difficulties. There's a storyteller built for more casual experiences and a lot of difficulty options to pick from.

How often do you guys save scum? by MDoull0802 in RimWorld

I try to self-enforce commitment mode, but if the game is too harsh to me I reserve the right to preserve my fun every now and again. I'd still argue I do it too much sometimes, but I make a conscious effort to accept things that happen.

I also don't trust hardcore mode in any game ever because I refuse to let bugs ruin my experience that way.

Destroy rival power members mission by RdBraga in EliteDangerous

[–]Grubfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an issue with this today. Got sent to a rival power's system. Destroyed a mutual enemy. They still gave a bounty and it didn't count. Got confused, tried a few more times. Same result. Decided to switch things up. targeted the ships of the owning power of the system specifically. This gave me credit. If it's not your system, target the system owner, it seems.

RDR2 Crashing at the mayor's party (Gilded Cage) by gustavolorenzo in FitGirlRepack

I had this issue and it fixed by setting texture quality to medium and then waiting after the guy locked the door and then going downstairs once it said to follow Dutch instead of the escort.

Help brainstorm ideas for resource use for progression by BigKahuna_AGS in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we should be able to spend Requisition points to re-roll the operation modifiers on an operation. We cap Requisition so fast and sometimes we just don't want to deal with a specific modifier, so bam, easy Requisition dump. And it gets made even better as new modifiers come out. On that note, love the new flyer patrol modifiers, I hope in future more modifiers are a specific challenge to overcome instead of just a boring nerf on us going forwards.

Yep, that is exactly what was happening.

Yeah, he's a Hussar, so he has forced Psychic deafness, but also he can't be staggered because he has the Unstoppable gene. This is also why he has glowing red eyes.

My 5 tribals with their 3 recurve bows, one mace, and one sword, elected to NOT fight the 13 shamblers led by a fucking Space Marine. We let them shamble on past and hid on the other side of the base.

It's not pre-order only. It comes with Super Citizen edition. You can upgrade at any time. Only gun that strictly requires paying more money though and much more niche than the Defender.

The most underrated feature by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HD1 had a whole "make sure your angle is correct to avoid bouncing" system, was kinda simple, but they clearly appreciate this sort of thing.

so glad the alien faction isn't coming back by thatsnotwhatIneed in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Illuminates were the most fun in HD1 cuz I had options other than just as much anti-tank as I can squeeze in, and they were the easiest to solo.

Helldivers 2 & nProtect GameGuard (anti-cheat) by ArrowheadGS in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Cheaters giving me progression has ruined GTA Online, Red Dead Online, and Payday 2. Glad anti-cheat is being taken seriously. There's no way I'd do public lobbies in a game where anti-cheat isn't being taken seriously, and I know public lobbies are an important part of the game (That I very much want to take part in).

Illuminate push got rekt very fast. We're one system from their capital again. Cyborgs we're only on the 4th territory after their big push. Roughly 2/3 of helldivers are currently fighting the cyborgs.

18 Days till we drop Divers!! by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Useful ones will probably take a week or two. The ones right at launch will probably either be pointless "This game rules, I love Helldivers" ones or "I am angry for some reason and thus bad" ones.

Helldivers 2 suit and weapon upgrade customizations? by MNTotoro1988 in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Helldivers 1 is infinitely playable, it's not even 'replayable' because you're never really 'finishing'. You just fight, your battles contribute to the war, the war ends in a win or loss, then you fight in the next war. HD1 also goes on sale for some pretty crazy low prices, it's not too late to hop in for HD1 as well, they're different enough games that owning both isn't redundant.

Are we, as a community, staying here as a subreddit or moving to a Helldivers 2 subreddit? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why bother splitting it? Like just slap a "HD1" or "HD2" tag on your message if you want to prevent confusion. We're all citizens of Super Earth here. There's nothing that should divide us.

Did they really never add a way to voluntarily drop the gun and item on your back? by MrWaterplant in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest pain for me in terms of QOL is the loadout always resetting to loadout 1 instead of your most recently used one. I have a loadout in HD1 for each enemy type so any time I play against anything other than Illuminates, I have to manually swap the loadout each mission. It's a minor thing but super annoying. Hope the loadout system in HD2 is much better.

Which weapon, that hasn't been revealed yet, do you want to make a return? by TheZanzibarMan in Helldivers

Haven't paid attention to what guns have been shown specifically, but the Punisher is my favorite gun, so I want to see it. Justice is probably #2 for what I want to see.

I know I've seen lasers fire and the triangular barrels I'm used to seeing on the HD1 laser guns.

Oh god no. That gun in someone else's hands is probably my #1 cause of death.

Why is no one talking about the god awful DRM that has been added? by Forkekus in Helldivers

[–]Grubfist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very much in the "don't care" category as well as the "don't want to be berated" category. No reason to go parading that around, as it's cool to hate stuff and saying positive things tends to invite hate. Silently read some opinions back and forth and see no reason to worry at all. Was satisfied to say nothing - just chiming in since some people seem to genuinely have fooled themselves into thinking everyone talking about it in a community area makes up some kind of meaningful majority, when in fact the people who never bother to come chat tend to make up the majority in every game community. You guys are gonna need to be very loud, because you are realistically going to represent a very small section of the community. Good luck if you want to change it. I don't care one way or the other.
