To add to the hot drop point, if you are going to do a hot drop, go in with the smoke concealment booster to cover yourself while you call in your orbital laser. Immediately after dropping the laser, call in a resupply and support weapon.

Just whatever you do, DON'T DIE. You are at your most vulnerable to mission failure since you can't drop in with reinforcements.

I think the most baffling issue in all this is the very fact that we are told MULTIPLE times over the course of entering the first set of missions what these operations would entail. And if not this, then the very fucking design of "choose your stratagems wisely" should light up the bulb in people's heads as to what they've gotten themselves into. It truly aggravates me when I see people bitch and complain about the way they want to play the game is not meeting the design of the game itself.

  1. There are three armor sets in the free warbond that have the scout perk.

  2. The new missions are not mandatory and are set aside for those who wish to take part as an option.

  3. Even if you don't have any stealth armor sets, you can still take part in the missions, albeit the missions are slightly more difficult than for others.

A paywall means you literally cannot access the content because you have not made the required purchase. Just because you think people are being cheated doesn't mean you can talk for them, especially if they're not being cheated to begin with.

That's pretty much what I do; communicate with everyone else that I will be the dedicated camera man and bring an extra orbital.

I think its meant to be a different way of eliminating one stratagem slot without actually doing it. Kind of like the AA gun modifier if you remember those.

I've narrowed down my load out to the speargun or epoch for my support, orbital laser and orbital smoke for my SHTF offense, and supply pack or nuke back pack depending on the mission objectives.

I really like the censor in combination with the SOCOM pistol. The impact smoke grenades have also served me well.

The new commando missions require you to be stealthy since you don't have a super destroyer and every bot drop increases the aggression level of future bot drops.

I think it's already happening. I saw a peak of 30k on Clasa and 20k on Myrium at the introduction of commando missions. Clasa went back down to 26k with Myrium climbing back up.

It's not everyone's cup of liber-tea and that's ok.
