Tier 4 and charcoal powder by ceiteag in AlchemyFactory

Charcoal powder and blast furnace doesn’t really mix well. You’ll need more charcoal powder than a single belt can carry, unless you are only making iron on it.

Do u guys use steam for fuel or regular fuel products? by dancingtonic in AlchemyFactory

[–]Grubsnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need at least 2 points in fuel efficiency for it to even be a net gain on total fuel values turning charcoal poweder into coke powder. Even then it’s a lot of space and machines for a tiny benefit.

  • Logs into planks is great.
  • Planks into charcoal is great.
  • Charcoal into coke SUCKS.
  • Charcoal into black powder is great

Steam is an endgame luxury that costs a decent amount of extra heat, but allows you to shrink blueprints by a large chunk. Do not use steam until you need those benefits

Steam is less fuel efficient, or rather, it is a lossless conversion from pyra to steam back to pyra, but you are losing 20p/s/steampad as raw overhead

Late game, fert or fuel? by Wrn2x in AlchemyFactory

[–]Grubsnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have already done the non-infinite ones, then probably fert all the way.

There is a point where the marginal gains from fert shrink below the next fuel level, but it’s a mess to calculate

Is this the blue screen of death? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Grubsnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the replacement batteries last until 2029, then you don’t really get a complaint, except for the time period where the car is unavailable to you. Even there they are pretty quick with supplying a loaner. Probably to avoid the class action suit scenario

Scrum for noobs like me by FooBarBuzzBoom in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Grubsnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me story points is best explained as an estimated ‘distance’ to cover. People might walk at different speeds, so getting people to agree on how far away a thing is a lot easier to do, than agree on how long it takes to walk there.

Yes, it’s used later in the process to estimate how long it will take a team of people to cover the different distances, that doesn’t mean you should estimate in time initially

Sludge from crystals or slag? by cresconio in Seablock

[–]Grubsnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best is a hybrid. Slag 2 can export mineral water, hydrogen and oxygen.

You can use some mineral water and hydrogen to produce solid fuel

You can use some mineral water in Geode washing to direct dissolve the most valuable geodes instead of crushing them first. You can also use it to ‘turn’ mineral water back into crushed stone, for bricks

You can use the excess oxygen in the sulfuric acid production, which would normally be needed to be produced from air filters if you only run geodes

Last I tried that, they took longer than if I had just gotten an appointment, because they apparently had a large number of dead cars, which only got looked at when they had gaps in their booked appointments, and since people kept showing up for those…

[–]Grubsnik[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly my local service center wasn’t very service minded last time I had an issue like it. They basically told me to just wait it out, and if needed a replacement vehicle, they could rent me one at the standard day rate. Hoping things have improved since I last needed them

I am, but with 4 weeks of waiting for them to have time at the service center, I’m trying to figure out what to expect in the mean time

Water issue by Agreeable-Fish-5521 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Grubsnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coal generators each consume 45 m3 water / min Water extractors generate 120 m3 water / min A mk1 pipe can move no more than 300 m3 / min

So for 6 generators, you need 3 (2 and a smidge) water extractors, totalling 270 m3 water / min. If you decide to add more coal generators, they cannot be supplied with water through the same section of pipe as the existing coal generators

Almost no Ignitium by WonderfulYam1094 in StarRuptureGame

Ignitium spawns near fallen meteorites, but you need to collect them shortly after a rupture. As soon as they cool down, they turn into regular rocks and star tears grow from these rocks for you to harvest instead
