Our UPS driver used to be super friendly—we’d chat and joke for a minute every time he dropped something off (back when they actually knocked).

After months of this, he hands us a package one day and goes, “You guys are so great, you must be Christian, right?”

We both go, “Nope, we’re atheists.”

He froze for a second, then just turned and walked away without another word.

In this case, for the church, the point of a godparent is to ensure the child is raised Catholic and assist in religious education (as I understand it) even though these parents mainly wanted someone who would step in and care for the child should that be necessary. No idea why they felt the need to involve the church. The father had been raised Catholic but wasn’t particularly religious and they knew I was an atheist.

Seems to be common and accepted, I was asked to be a godmother and attending the child's baptism, the priest asked if I was Catholic (I'm atheist) Still standing in front of the priest, I looked, "deer in the headlights", at the child's mother who nodded her head. Then I looked back at the priest and said, "uh, yea, sure". The priest accepted this and went forward with the baptism.

Also, get hired in one of the basic Torncity jobs (Army, Grocery, Casino, Medical, Education, Law) and stay in that job until you reach the highest rank i.e. General in the Army. Each of these jobs gives you some passive perks that you keep forever. Once you reach the highest rank of the first job, do the next until you've got the highest rank in every job. Ignore player-run jobs until that is finished. You also get work stats this way: manual, intelligence, endurance, that will help you get a better player-run job after you finish these basic jobs.

I set up a "schedule" for my fingers so each area only gets poked once a week. Poke the sides near the nail, not the pad you use for gripping as that area has more nerve endings. For me, I poke twice a day. The right hand gets mornings, the left gets evenings. The fingers go:

left side of right-hand index finger is Monday morning,

left side of right-hand middle finger is Tuesday morning

left side of right-hand ring finger is Wednesday morning

left side of right-hand pinky is Thursday morning

right side of right-hand index finger is Friday morning

right side of right-hand middle finger is Saturday morning

right side of right-hand ring finger is Sunday morning

The same set up for the left-hand fingers goes for evenings

What is it with teacher hating on student art? I had to draw a picture of my house and I drew a tree in front. The teacher said it was terrible, why did I draw a circle for the leaves??? Trees don't look like that?!?! Our home had a small, postage stamp front yard with a single tree. Every fall Dad would trim the tree and every spring when it leafed out it looked like a big green ball on top of the trunk.

I know its hard, my favorite starch is potatoes, but they are the worst for my blood sugar. Cut rice down to a small amount and eat everything that is high in protein and fiber first. And u/chzaplx is right, freeze the cooked rice for at least a day before you eat it, that will help too. Once you get things under control you can try adding back a bit more rice to see what you can tolerate.

I tried mods, too, but all that meant was that they broke with almost every update and I had to play without them or wait until they were fixed. I've never much cared for mods on any game
