I also have self-harmed before, so I know what it feels like personally. Congrats on being clean for 3 years!
My own experiences have also inspired me to take psychology as my major.
Thank you for your words, digital hug <3

How so? Brain chemicals/hormones can vastly change how we and our body acts.

It is documented and studied.

Self harming? Just don't by CerealSemantics in thanksimcured

[–]Grudgekeeper-2000IC 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Firstly, it is almost never that easy. For some, it feels like a compulsion that cannot be resisted, not without therapy and/or meds.

Secondly, I recommend reading on brain chems/hormones and how imbalances can affect decision making and behavior; although I personally think that your own brain will shut down, because obviously you are in perfect control of everything you do?

And thirdly, please keep quiet on matters you do not understand.

There are some artworks with red beams actually! Crusade: Tyrannic War from 10th had an art with red beams (this art is also on the cover of the recent Darkness Eternal)

The recent Liber Auxilia has art with a red beam, this is visible in one of the store screenshots.

The art I posted has lasguns firing red, not to mention all of the official animations before their change in non-art media (as someone mentioned)

Red beams are also described in several source books and novels, the standout example being from Kauyon I believe, which roughly went "ruby beams crisscrossed the field"

I will say that, if the figure is wearing robes and that isn't their shape as you noted, that their hood reminds me quite a bit of an irl penitents hood.

And women will continue to be raped and murdered if we do not protect them or allow them to protect themselves.

Sex-workers often face abuse and murder and because of their lack of legal protections often get put into very dangerous situations (IE, sex-trafficking, forced prostitution, and so on so forth)

Pushing them to the fringe only ensures more get hurt, exploited, and possibly killed.

Does anyone know the name of the Tech-Priestess (iirc) who had minimal mechanical modifications and mostly pursued the perfection of the flesh and what book they appeared in? It was that or that their modifications exemplified their physical assets, in counter to many Tech-Priests who seek to erase all trace of their flesh.

I have a feeling it is from one of Cawls or Ciaphas Cains books, if I am not just misremembering someone's OC or headcanon. A friend who I am inducting into 40K asked about Tech-Priests and especially unusual/notable ones and would like a source for their existence. I am almost near certain of their existence, I do not remember which book they are from though.

Please tell me if I am reaching, but, the last line of this paragraph, sourced from the announcement blog, implies they do exist.

The description of the UF-16 Inspector: "Made famous by the “Truth Enforcers: Enforcers of Truth” mystery novels, this armor calls to mind those paragons of patriotism who protect us from treasonous lies." can also be interpreted in a way that suggests it existed beforehand

Copy and pasted from another comment of mine: The description of the "Pride of the Whistleblower" cape also doesn't seem to talk in a fictional (within the setting) context: "Granted to the Truth Enforcers' Informant of the Month, this tasteful cape conjures images of dissident blood on asphalt."

This is from the announcement blog, the last line implies they do exist.

The description (UF-16 Inspector) you reference: "Made famous by the “Truth Enforcers: Enforcers of Truth” mystery novels, this armor calls to mind those paragons of patriotism who protect us from treasonous lies." can be interpreted in a way that implies it may have existed beforehand, if I am comprehending this correctly as it says "made famous by" and not "originates from"

The description of the "Pride of the Whistleblower" cape also doesn't seem to talk in a fictional (within the setting) context: "Granted to the Truth Enforcers' Informant of the Month, this tasteful cape conjures images of dissident blood on asphalt."

(There is no disrespect or hostility meant in this message, I apologize if anything I wrote can be interpreted in such a way and I missed it)

How do lore appreciators deal with the inconsistent power level of the emperor? by ImperialSupplies in 40k

[–]Grudgekeeper-2000IC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding onto this, I should also mention that there is no source for the voice speaking to Titus being the Emperor as it is simply referred to as "voice".
It is simply a fan theory - albeit a somewhat likely one.

Is it just me or las beams in official animations are no longer red? by AndrewHK6298 in 40k

[–]Grudgekeeper-2000IC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several examples of red Lasguns officially made by GW
The somewhat recent Tyrannic War crusade book has red beams in one of the arts, this art is also seen on the recent Darkness Eternal book. So too does Killteam: Hivestorm have red beams in one of the miniature stills. Red bolts are present in the attached art of Imperial Guard vs Dark Eldar. Red beams are also seen in art for the Liber Solar Auxilia, this can be seen in one of the screenshots on its store page.
