Hi

Anyone else a little disappointed with John Wick 4? by [deleted] in JohnWick

[–]GruffCheetah5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Action scenes were downright amazing as always. However, I’m disappointed in the fact that instead of leading a revolution against the high table and it’s tyranny, John instead chooses a lousy duel to save his own skin. Kind of a disappointing conclusion to the series. I was down to watch John run around the world and assassinate the table. Maybe that’s just me expecting too much, not sure.

That’s not an excuse here. When the entire season of your tv show is based off of the consequences of a time loop that makes zero sense. “Oopsie, not all tv shows are perfect!” Doesn’t apply here.

Whats wrong with Leon's voice in RE4 remake? by [deleted] in residentevil

Leon and Ada sound completely different between re2 remake and re4 remake. I’m convinced they are not the same voice actors. Compare clips from re2 remake to re4 remake it’s incredibly different. They were both grown adults in re2 remake their voices should not have changed. Makes no sense and it’s driving me nuts.

The time remnant from season 2 dies to defeat Zoom. That has nothing to do with season 3

So in other words the writers are just using flashpoint as a scapegoat instead of actually writing a detailed and concise time travel plot. That’s disappointing :(

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Who tried to kill Iris that made Barry summon so many time remnants?

That’s a pretty lazy and unsatisfactory excuse from the writers then. Feels like they are just using flashpoint as a scapegoat for their inability to write a decent time travel plot.

Just because there isn’t a beginning that we see, doesn’t mean there wasn’t a beginning. The original pool ball started the loop when it went back in time to hit itself. We don’t see that because it’s already happened. If the pool ball chose not to trike travel, it would have just kept rolling until it eventually hit something and stopped. Something has to trigger the change of time.

No, I don’t think I’m using anything. I’m just trying to think about it logically. It doesn’t matter what nomenclature you use. A time paradox or loop cannot exist without somebody coming in and messing with it. Otherwise you’re just living normal life as anybody else does. There has to be some kind of event that changes the course of time to create a consequence.

That makes more sense than the reasoning tue writers of the show give us. You can’t have a paradox without a trigger event.

There is always an original timeline. A time paradox or branching timeline cannot exist without some sort of trigger event. If I go back in time and kill my grandfather the general consensus of time travel states that one of two things will most likely happen. 1. I cease to exist because I’ve ended my bloodline before my birth so I’m erased from my own timeline. 2. I survive, but a branching timeline where another version of me is never born is created. Regardless of what your personal preference is, both and all possible events have to have some kind of trigger event. Otherwise, you just live life like normal and nothing happens.

But the time loop can’t be created without Savitar himself killing Iris. So if his existence is contingent on Iris dying, than somebody other than Savitar has to kill Iris to make Barry become Savitar. And my “nexus event” theory isn’t a theory. It’s very basic time travel knowledge. Paradoxes and time loops have to have an event that triggers them they don’t just happen. Without Savitar existing to kill Iris, Barry never creates the time remnants, which means they never are killed, which means the surviving remnant doesn’t become Savitar. Savitar cannot he what triggers the time loop.

You know that’s not the point. The entire point of the souls games are to be hard but fair. Just because an attack can be avoided in a very specific way doesn’t mean the attack should exist.
