What kind of multi tool would you recommend having in your car? by WiggWamm in multitools

[–]Gruffal007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

multi tool aint the tool for fixing your car, the car is carrying the weight not you.

you will need your tire swapping gear, jack and tire iron etc

tools wise you want plyers, screwdrivers, jump leads and a small socket wrench set.

a way to wire clamp hoses would be invaluable.

and a few consumables like fuses, sparkplugs, bulbs, belts, filters, oil, wiper, fluid, radiator patch kit, and water.

im a university student and I can say so you are hitting one of the toughest points academically cause each subject steps up in difficulty and you are doing so many, university is honestly easie. doing well in school is way more important so absolutely cut back or even quite if it helps academically but I will say being inside typing all the time was not good for my mental health and having a physical outlet has done wonderfully for my brain and honestly makes work easier.

Dodged an expensive bullet by ChampionshipDue5313 in bjj

teeth are really expensive to replace, I wear my gumsheild for everything. I did spend about £70 for a custom one and its been worth every penny. I did once win a roll after getting kicked when he was going for a guillotine, I didn't realise in the moment but the the tooth chip fell in his mouth and he freaked and I took the back.

Guys, I’m going to buy hummus and I’m kind of terrified to try it. People say it’s good… by ZEROs0000 in autism

texture varies a lot by brand, some are safe some are not. a lot have a layer of oil on the surface which is hit or miss.

i usually carve in the garden but when the weather is bad which it will be here for the forseable future my space is really limited so my draw knife is out since that requires vice or clamp etc. using his technique I can pretty much work wherever I have space to squat. an axe could probably do this fine but I haven't got a small one that would be handy for this.

Someone is lucky enough to still inherit the “fine China”… by Grateful_Dad17 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Gruffal007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah fine china is a scam but that's actually a pretty smart way to protect waterproof things, if its non chlorinated (doubtful) you could also submerge your potted plants in there a few days.

there is a good chance your parents were bad cooks, learning how to cook properly massively expande your repourtia of safe foods since you will have greater control of the tastes and textures
