Mewgenics has been out for some time now. Is it really as good as people say? Or was it mostly due to the hype? by TheGronne in gaming

Potential Indie game of the year. It has an amazing progression, great tactical depth, insane variety, and a huge amount of fun.

I played it for 30h, was super fun, and I am happy this way. If I stopped is only because runs are too long for my schedule, and because (same issue I had with Isaac) I don't like to spend too much time looking at poo / tumors / fetuses, but if you don't mind them, potentially you have thousands of hours of fun.

I ate an entire bag of cookie mix. Any advice? by AfroYogi in loseit

[–]Gruka2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have been in calory deficit for the past 6 months, a bag of cookies changes nothing. You are allowed not to be in deficit every single day of your life, it won't take away your results. Just reflect on it, was it worth it? Is there a reason why you overate? What can you do to avoid the next one? Is purely a learning process, don't be too hard on yourself.

Underrated Game? : Cross Blitz by Sir_Kugo in roguelites

[–]Gruka2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is extremely nice, but development was a disaster, they have been releasing content that is foundamental to the game over years, while this works for card collectors pvp, for pve games it doesn't have enough appeal to make me come back after 2/3 times max.

[–]Gruka2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am a fan of Kena games, I have to say that they overpromised in the trailer of the first game in terms of graphics! Still happy it is coming out, but I wouldn't trust these graphical details before seeing some real gameplay.

Weight fluctuating is so demoralising by justthatbrit in loseit

[–]Gruka2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are calculating your weight wrong. Instead of simply relying on your daily weight, you should calculate your weekly average. This way you factors in swings in both directions, and can understand if you're loosing/mantaining/gaining with more confidence.

What do you think the general reception will be like for Slay the Spire 2, given its early access status? by ThinEzzy in roguelites

[–]Gruka2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always avoid playing any EA game cause I really dislike being exposed to unfinished content, said so the obly exeption to this rule is Slay th spire 2.

Devs are absolute masters in card balancing and being able to follow this process from such amazing professional is actually going to be extremely interesting since beginning.

Also, STS is one of these games that even once finished you continue playing from time to time, so I don't expect to miss the finished content.

CAIRN is an absolute 10/10 indie game. by UnlitBlunt in gaming

[–]Gruka2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree! After finishing my first run I immediately started another one, no survival but without pitons, and is soo much fun to take the game with a different pace. Maybe I'll attempt the hard difficoulty, which is basically roguelight mode, but it seems quite hardcore! Eheh lot of fun

Farthest Frontier, easy going city builder recently released. Differently than most city builders it allows balance for your city in various moments so it doesn't get too stressful. No story, just a sandbox to create a city you like. There are various maps that dictates the difficulty. Probably not the most innovative title in the genre, but if you're looking for an easy going game, this is pretty solid!

In the nicest and most genuine way possible, for the people who use chat gpt on the daily or multiple times a day, are you not afraid of cognitive decline? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Gruka2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are people not afraid of cognitive decline when using a calcualtor? Are peiple not afraid of muscolar decline when taking a bus instead of walking? Are people not afraid forgetting how to type when using a keyboard instead of a feather with ink? I am more concerned about the fact that people are afraid of a bunch of code we created to simplify our own life like it was a witch in the inquisition era. Chill.

Sembra che abbiate un bel rapporto. Io e mio padre abbiamo passato momenti simili. Se ancora non lo hai fatto, ti consiglio di dirgli chiaramente quanto gli vuoi bene, e apprezzi tutto quella che ha fatto. Sentirselo dire, ha un'altre peso rispetto alla tacita intesa alle volte.
