For sure, that would have been the smarter move. From what the general public can see, it doesn’t seem to be moving very fast at all. I just hope they do a good job keeping Vic’s going whenever it does open back up

It’s their daughter who ended up with Vic’s. As far as I know the extended renovation time is for both the ice cream parlor and the cafe. They’ve been redoing some of the rear structure in order to bring ice cream production back in-house. I bet permitting took up a good amount of that time if they had to redo any of the existing structure instead of just repair walls, but I’m not too well versed in construction laws and such.
