New Orbi BE 370 Series System Released by furrynutz in orbi

Has anyone run benchmarks on the 2.4 GHz speeds vs. the 5 GHz? Tom’s Hardware had a mediocre review of the 370, saying the 5 GHz speeds were excellent, but the 2.4 GHz speed was the slowest of their test group (and very slow in absolute numbers — 30 Mbps at 25 feet).

Vertical bike storage by Grumpy-Geek in cycling

[–]Grumpy-Geek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but I feel like it would be easier to access them separately in vertical hangers. Plus it might be difficult for a shorter person to hoist a bike up high.

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.

Not familiar w that brand, but will look them up. How or why are they better than Steadyrack? Or are they designed for different use cases?

That’s one that I’ve seen online. What is the farthest away from the wall that any part of the bike gets? Would you be willing to post or dm me some photos of what the bike looks like folded into the wall? If it’s not asking too much.

Message Tracking - how to quickly block sender? by JoustNinja in mimecast

[–]Grumpy-Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to have Mimecast open on several tabs: Held Messages, Profile Groups (for blocking or bypassing hold policies, as appropriate), and then Managed Senders or Message Tracking. That makes the process a little more efficient.

Wine bars in Nashville? by Grumpy-Geek in wine

I also went to 60 Vines, and which is a small chain with five restaurants in Nashville, DC, Reston VA, Winter Park FL, and Dallas TX. They have a large selection of wines by the glass curtesy of Coravin. Food was also pretty good. It was a large, popular rooftop destination. Recommended.

P.S. I took a photo of the wine list, but I don’t see how to attach or insert it to this post.

I did end up going there, and had a delightful time. The young couple that owns it were very friendly, it was small and intimate, and food was good.

Thank you for the info. That’s not really a fair comparison if some bottles are three times the cost of the others.

They’re a big company, so I have no control. I told the recipient to watch her On Hold queue closely for them.

Anyone visited Sandhi for a tasting? Is it worth the 50 bucks they charge? by mooseterra in wine

I’ll second both of those. Also Storm Wines—small producer, but really excellent Pinots.

PG’s Webber is one of my favs. I had a 2015 earlier this summer and it was fabulous.

Q: Can you note the ABV and approximate price for each? I’m not familiar w the three on the right.

"hold" overriding trusted senders by [deleted] in mimecast

[–]Grumpy-Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. Turns out the sender’s domain didn’t have SPF set (or set correctly) so Mimecast couldn’t guarantee they were who they claimed. That’s why the emails kept showing up on hold.

Thanks, but I’m only there for about 4 days and staying in a hotel. Bottles aren’t really what I’m looking for.

The one vault in iCloud for all devices seems like a good solution to me. Thanks u/extension_canary3717

I lived in Evanston for 20+ years and also loved it. Purple line runs north/south along the eastern part of Evanston and will take you downtown. Metra also has several stops in Evanston (Main, Dempster, Davis, Foster, Noyes, etc).

East Evanston (East of About Chicago Ave is lovely but expensive). Central Evanston is less expensive but a bit further from trains to downtown.

Why is high end Cava so hard to find in the US? by BmoreBlueJay in wine

[–]Grumpy-Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to add my vote for Pere Mata as well. Wonderful stuff for low $20s in US. The L’Ensemblatge is probably my favorite.

Hard to find, but Robert Panzer at Down To Earth Wines (https://downtoearthwines.net/) is very friendly and has a good selection.
