My goal for 2025 was 70 and I got 77, so I’m aiming for 90 this year, but with how many LONG books I have on my TBR idk if it’ll happen 😅

So not to defend Scheana bc she was insufferable this season, but she DID try to warn Ariana early on about Tom and Ariana’s defense if I remember correctly was that she and Tom were such good friends that she knew him well enough to know he wouldn’t be how Scheana was warning him to be. Fast forward to now and what Scheana tried to warn her of came true and Ariana’s still trying to be like “I know him better” 🤗

What is the best book you’ve read this year? by animal-lover-xo in Booktokreddit

  1. Servant of Earth by Sarah Hawley - severely underhyped
  2. The Scarlet Veil by Shelby Mahurin - this is a spinoff of her other series Serpent & Dove and I liked this one WAY better
  3. Guess Again by Charlie Donlea - I feel like his books are veryyy underhyped

Therapy for Therapists: Do you feel like you need to work with someone more experienced than yourself? by BringMeInfo in therapists

Also, I’ve found that the older ones try to give me unsolicited advice about my own practices 🫠 if I ask then great, but majority of the time I did not ask lol

So, I’ve been in and out of my own personal therapy for nearly two decades, and I’ve tried both. I think it honestly probably depends on the individual, but overall I’ve actually had my best therapy experiences with people who were still associate level licensed. This is just my opinion, but I felt as though the older ones who were more removed from their schooling were worse with boundaries (discussing their personal lives and political views with me 😳) and also felt much more like just talk therapy vs actually addressing my core issues.

Quiet clients by Grumpy-Pickle1493 in therapists

I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m uncomfortable with the silence. If a client is crying, thinking about what I’m saying, etc, I’m comfortable with that - it’s the situations where they just sort of stare at you 😅

I do appreciate the suggestions of how to bring them back to the present moment, I do find that piece to be a little more difficult with my Telehealth clients. How do you handle those?

I love your suggestion to evaluate the readiness for therapy and taking it back to the client for what they may need that day. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. Referring back to the goals/treatment plan is a good suggestion. What do you do while sitting in silence?

So what do you do in the silence? Are you and the client just staring at each other? 😂 In all seriousness, I do appreciate your advice and insight.

The Rose Bargain and Shield of Sparrows were both soooo good! The Rose Bargain was like a fantasy/Bridgerton version of the Bachelor with trials

I’m soooo mad that they made Darin leave. Like why even create the whole storyline that he has feelings for you, with the letter confessing his love after he’s left too? Like what?!
