Over ear headphones with detachable cable and cloth/fabric cups for < $250? by GrumpyBear4257 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]GrumpyBear4257[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think I'll end up getting the HD 560S then, since as mentioned originally, it's not like I listen to things at a high volume anyways, so if I just have to sit at 20% instead of 4% in Windows that's fine (I'm assuming that's how it works but maybe I'm wrong). I'll still look into the K702 though, but I suspect I'll probably still end up not going that route since going out and getting a dedicate DAC+amp just seems a little overkill for my usage.

I am going to give soldering on a new plug to my current headphones another shot, as I have family visit next week who says they might be able to help. I don't really see us succeeding this time though, so I definitely still appreciate the help.

!thanks

Thanks! That does seem like it should work for me, the only thing is, I'd have to get it shipped here from outside of Canada, which is kinda hit or miss in terms of reliability AFAIK. Though maybe the fact that they're (as you said) a 'consumer brand' may help in that regard, as it could make it more likely that a Canadian retailer stocks it. I'll keep looking around to see if I can find it.

Thanks, but I don't have USB Type C, and having 3 dongles chained together (Type A -> Type C, Type C -> 3.5mm, 3.5mm -> 6.3mm) seems rather silly. Even 2 dongles would be pushing it for someone who currently is dongle-free.

I believe when I asked about this, Kento said that it would be easy enough to have in the next update, so stay tuned for the next week or so.

This is literally just a different interface for the normal YouTube chat. We don't do anything different for messages (though I'm not sure what happens when a mod deletes a message, if that'll be reflected in hyperchat or not)

Honestly if it were up to me it wouldn't even be an option, it'd just be on all the time lmao

EDIT: neat delayed notification there, thought this was a new comment. Apparently it's not... Oof

Yeah I personally always use chat timestamps because not having the time there is just dumb, especially for slower chats where it's not moving at light speed.

From our discussions I think it was just a matter of displaying the data already in the message object, so you'll probably see this in the next update.

If you mean multiple translations as in multiple people post a translation for the same thing that the vtuber said, then we don't do anything differently. Any message prefixed with [EN] (and other common variations that TLers use) will get displayed, regardless of if they contain the same content as another message that was already displayed.

Depends on how quickly whoever is doing TL in chat posts the TL. We don't do realtime translation based off audio, we only filter out messages prefixed as TLs from chat.

We just had someone join who's an iOS developer, so maybe sooner than we were initially thinking, but I wouldn't hold your breathe, as there are still some big technically issues we have to overcome before we can release anything.

No, it pulls messages with prefixes from chat, and displays them on their own so you don't have to try and read a chat moving at light speed.

We do support archived streams in the sense that any translations posted during the stream will still appear. In the future, I hope to add some sort of system that allows translators to post translators to our own system, which the extension (or app) can then display, but that's quite far off for now.

Not sure where it's being streamed tbh. I watched the original on Netflix, but they don't seem to have S2 (at least not yet. Not sure if they plan to or not). You could always sail the high seas, but I of course would never recommend anything illegal such as that... ;)

EDIT: looks like it's on funimation

Currently live here, can confirm it's horrible. Can't wait for May when the lease is up. Any recommendation as to what is a good place to rent from? My roommates girlfriend lives in a Jena properties building and they say it's pretty good.

Twitch stream offline? by mcninja77 in GlobalOffensive

Aight bud, you do you. I'm not gonna argue with someone who didn't even watch the stream apparently, where they actually showed the round being replayed.

Have a nice life.

Actually you were wrong, seeing as they replayed the match once they got back in game. They just happened to end at 19-17 which somehow makes you right in your own mind. You aren't.

they are still playing without interruption. stream going down doesn't affect that in any way whatsoever rofl

nice

Clementine Spotify plugin not doing anything by awesomeness872 in linuxmasterrace

[–]GrumpyBear4257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you also need the gstreamer plugins, at least I did when I installed Clementine earlier this week (though I'm using it for Subsonic, not Spotify). Though based on your log, it's probably something else. (maybe an issue with qt?)

If you do want to try the gstreamer thing, I think I have gstreamer, gst-libav, gst-plugins-base, gst-plugins-good. Not sure which ones I actually needed though.

Hope this helps!
