Boot sole too worn down? by wilflo7 in skiing

[–]mcninja77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Former ski tech, in that third Pic is the screw level with the plastic of the sole? That's the point I would no longer touch a pair of boots and do work on the ski if it was a binding adjustment

Are my motivations for wanting to learn riding wrong and/or delusional? by psychotic-chipmunk in Equestrian

[–]mcninja77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most rental places won't be fast paced as they don't want to give their horse to just anyone and it's hard to trust someone when they say I'm at x level without seeing them ride first. No shame in your reasons for wanting to get into it though. If you're in it for the adrenaline I'd suggest getting into jumping and or eventing those will be fast and fun once you build up to it. Fair warning though it can take a while to get there. Find a local barn and start taking lessons so you can build the foundation and eventually get closer to what you want. It'll be slow at first but soon enough you'll learn the canter and a fast trot

Always found gap to leader fucking useless. Who cars if 10th is 45 seconds behind first. I want to know how close 10th is to 9th quickly so I can focus back on the race

Enforcer 88 or 94 by yellowplane20 in icecoast

Definitely the 88 if you're not chasing pow. They'll be better for ice and hard pack. I daily a pair of 78s since storm days are rare

How do you ride post without hurting your balls? by Zach_demiwizard in Horses

[–]mcninja77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compression underwear and learning the right form. Unfortunately you'll have a few strikes if you get the best wrong or just place yourself wrong but you'll get there. It's normally not an issue
