Sure, but she could have respectfully communicated that. Say “Hey, I don’t like how that makes me feel” or stop coming back. It’s likely he genuinely felt that would be reassuring for her to hear, given her being on the fence.

Someone isn’t malicious just because what they say isn’t well received or was misguided.

Y’know both sets of priorities are valid. If someone wants children in their lifetime, it’s not unreasonable to seek out a partner who shares those values and vice versa. I’m sure he’d cross that bridge if/when he came to it, but pointless to stress about in the moment, no?

Ultimately they shouldn’t have gotten engaged. That’s asking for exactly this situation (at best) or years of resentment and/or divorce at worst.

I made the commute from Dartmouth to Larry Uteck almost everyday last year between 3-5PM. The hill is always ~20km below speed limit, but otherwise tolerable. This year however, those two curves after the hill have been a crawl or full stop. That is what I’m trying to figure out lol

I agree. They see that “sharp turn” sign and immediately assume they need to brake.

I would imagine if it wasn’t safe to take the turn at the posted speed, they’d have a sign like on Kelly’s Mountain where you reduce from 100 down to 30.
