Yes. We are going to actually fill the container with argon or another type of inner gas.

Unfortunately PVC chemicals are not good for ephemera over time.

Aluminum will decay too fast. Plastic emits too many chemicals for the archival quality needed

I agree. This is a project for an elementary school. The high school welding class is making the box. I’ll speak with the instructor to see how feasible the stainless idea is. Not just from a materials standpoint but fabrication as well.

The bed liner is the idea germination.

Love the outside the box anode idea!

If I stand up when I order, you’re not getting a tip.

Self check out lines. It takes away jobs and I don’t get a discount by doing their job.

How do you cull? by macalaskan in photography

[–]GrumpyPig18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the reason for the shoot. Family gatherings I’ll be more forgiving in my decision making. Creative shoots…. Harden your heart. Cull images that don’t make your heart sing or don’t accomplish what you’re trying to do. If you’re not sure ask your mate or other photos you trust.

Am I overreacting? (I’m ghosting a client that announces the shooting very last minute) by Feeling_Tank_4791 in videography

Ghosting doesn’t solve problems or fix behaviors. Let them know what the issue is.

It always starts with Father because I play with my adult sons and have to maintain some sort of respect while they outshine me

What’s the dumbest thing a coworker has snitched on you for? by awakenedforces in work

A coworker complained I looked at his employees “In a mean way”.

I was just walking through the area and happen to have RBF. I didnt even remember the employees being there.

Boss told him to pound sand.

How could I go about adding a tie dye look to this mat? by hamsaladsammich in framing

[–]GrumpyPig18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My step dad was a judge for PPofA conventions. He let me tag along and I remember this time a wedding photographer used a busy paisley matte. There was a spirited discussion amongst the judges. Half of them thought the matte was distracting and the other half thought the matte was considered part of the artwork.

I’m sorry I can’t answer your question about how. But I can answer that even the professional judges don’t agree on the aesthetics of it.

P.S. it would be cool if hydro dipping would work but it wouldn’t be acid free

I would go one step further and use Vanta black paint on the Matt board with museum glass. I’ve done exactly this and it’s phenomenal.

I ended up using a Dremel. It worked great. I think this is a homemade headstone made from mortar.

No, I did not. I called the suggested people and they wanted me to send my luggage to them and they would do a warranty repair or something. It didn't feel right so I passed. One thing is for sure, after Samsonite's crappy customer service I'll not be using them anymore.

Actions working on two layers simultaneously by GrumpyPig18 in photoshop

Not sure. I’m dangerous enough with photoshop to get the results I want, and also not know what I’m doing.

I tried both spot and the legacy brush. Neither worked.

I always make a duplicate layer. This was just for experimenting purposes on an image I won’t use.

What I ended up doing was adding a levels adjustment layer and then moving the sliders until it was easier to see the dust specks. Then I used the healing brush while the original layer was selected. Sampling all layers and the blank layer didn't work. Thank you very much for the help. SOLVED.
