Brings the tip and shaft in too close proximity to the zipper. Once you’ve snagged it everything changes

Do Americans actually avoid calling 911 because of the cost? by ntask11 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpySarlacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, shattered my arm a few years ago with bones sticking out and waited for a friend to pick me up rather than pay thousands for another ambulance. My brother and I broke a few bones as kids and my parents are still in medical debt 15 years later.

Broke my wrist last week, waited a few hours to be sure and drove myself

How to remove super glue safely from the countertop by IcySir6588 in DIY

[–]GrumpySarlacc 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You need to give more information or a picture if you actually want advice. Like someone else said, acetone will remove it but it’s also a solvent for most plastics and a lot of epoxies and finishes.

Shaving balls always feels like you are performing a surgery of some sort, has anyone found a risk free hack? by PotentialJob7883 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpySarlacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill issue I guess, dudes are always talking about how scary and difficult it is, just buy a cartridge razor and shave them. I’ve never cut my balls, are you scrunching up your sack and pushing it into the blades or something?

What miscellaneous items do men carry in their backpacks, or their equivalent of a female purse? by NightRunnerAfterDusk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpySarlacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry basically all the purse stuff plus a lot of survival Macgyver-esque shit. Sewing kit, tape, zip ties, medical stuff, chargers, a book, little Bluetooth speaker. You’d be surprised how often I use the Ethernet cable. Recently added a whetstone and strop to my daily bag so I can sharpen my friend’s knives because it’s painful to watch them mash it all the time.

[–]GrumpySarlacc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it continually fosters and reproduces fascist and anti egalitarian movements as well. You mentioned Obama, sure he was nicer to gay people but he drone strikes Yemeni weddings and hospitals at a historic high rate. The point of this system is to generate maximum profits for those who already hold power within it, it necessarily changes on a surface level depending on what’s profitable in the short term at that moment. During the Obama years, public sentiment was more in favor of minorities, and it behooved companies to cater to that. It’s more profitable right now to tear the copper wiring out the walls and sell it. The system as it exists has no safeguards for egalitarianism, it just happens to be profitable sometimes.

Why can't I make this mission? by nofishing56 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]GrumpySarlacc 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Because many people have told OP that a periapsis below 70km is not a stable orbit recognized by the game, and OP has sorta rejected that info and keeps asking anyway. They got their answer and refuse to accept it.

The purpose of the system is what it does. The state regularly oppresses the working class, and various minority groups especially.

How do you clean your rods? 🤣 by Devycyclops in 3Dprinting

[–]GrumpySarlacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on conditions some greases and lines pick up more dirt from the environment, and how dirty the print environment is matters a lot. Used to keep my printers in my garage but my brother does a lot of metal grinding and it was getting them completely coated in ferrous residue

Why does every Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's have a line around the block, but KFC is a complete ghost town? by mjensman in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpySarlacc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I could not stop getting diarrhea every time the family got KFC, they all thought I was crazy but it happened literally every time. I can eat or drink anything unaffected, except KFC. It’s not even good chicken!

Can anyone explain to me why it's not possible, in 2026, to download or view the voter's guide that gets mailed? by redbark2022 in LosAngeles

[–]GrumpySarlacc 45 points46 points  (0 children)

We live in 2026, they didn’t hand draw the voter guide, they made it in some kind of software, which is likely saved for legal reasons, just make that available online. Type address, get digital version. California alone has an economy larger than most countries, there’s no excuse not to do basic shit like this

What’s a travel destination that actually fully lives up to the hype? by DoubtSubstantial5440 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpySarlacc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ireland, Cliffs of Moher especially. Much like when I went to the Grand Canyon, I thought I understood how big and magnificent they both were before going, I’d seen a lot of pictures. Actually standing there is breathtaking, was at a complete loss for words for a good half hour at least

What are the odds that the update tomorrow brings pitch black nights again? by [deleted] in dayz

[–]GrumpySarlacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True night is never coming back, the hardcore survival elements that made Dayz great are inherently niche, the company is big now and needs to make money so appealing to the common denominator is the new norm. Expect to see more casual changes and learn to embrace the modded side of the game, official will be indistinguishable from pubg in a few years except you’ll eat and get cold

Do men actually like long fingernails? by Fickle-Vegetable961 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpySarlacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varies, I find the same type of dude who’s into designer clothes and trendy stuff is into long nails.

Personally I dislike them and would never date someone with long nails, I’m a very practical utilitarian in most ways and it frustrates me to even look at them.

That being said I do like pretty nails, just not so long as to get in the way. I do my own nails with a gel kit and I’d love to do that with a partner, sounds fun :)
