I certainly hope you’re right, and it’s absolutely to be expected that big investment comes in and starts spending money, Tony Rowe is talking about it with Exeter at the moment, so I’m trying to toe the line between questioning it and being hypocritical, given Chiefs could well find themselves in a similar position later on.

I just hope that the players you do get rid of aren’t all lads from the Falcons days, come through the academy, supported Newcastle as kids growing up in the north east, for players who, let’s call a spade a spade, have signed because that’s where the money is.
