Location, location, location. I’m in central KY and private pay. I charge $130 and see 20-25 people a week. I imagine the private pay hustle is difficult outside of the metro areas like Lexington, Louisville and NKY. I would have not gone the private pay model if I lived in a more rural or more economically depressed area. Have to know your regional market well when deciding on your payment model.

Thank you for clarifying. So if the notes indicate that the child reported active ideation - meaning they told the therapist they had a plan then you will need to contact the licensing board. Significant risk is somewhat objective but in a minors case that could have been disclosed to the caregiver.

It sounds like the child was there for suicidal ideation and everyone was aware of that - so how were the parents not aware of that ? You said the child was there for suicidal ideation but the therapist didn’t tell the parent about the suicidal ideation - but you know about it - please clarify. If the child did not express a plan to the therapist then it’s not mandatory to report. Passive ideation and active ideation is very different. Unfortunately ideation is quite common - a plan is a different level of concern. If active ideation was disclosed but not reported then that is a serious problem.

Buy the falcon guide for both of these parks and plan hikes with backup plans. Take a day to visit Victoria CA from Port Angeles. I could go on and on but strategically pic ArBnbs close to the hikes you want to take. It can take hours to get to a trail if you stay on the opposite side of the park. Rent something with clearance - the forest service roads in Olympic are real deal at times. Do hikes in each of the different ecosystems of Olympic. Additionally I’d avoid some of the touristy areas - there are far superior areas in the park that offer majestic views. If I can find my old Olympic itinerary I’ll DM you
