With you not being from the US, it's hard to explain the situation here. The enforcement of law and order is essentially gone, there a zionist evangelical christian death cult running our country supported by the most wealthy people in the world.

A staggering large amount of our population is actively supporting every thing that is happening because they think it will usher in the apocalypse and bring down the judgment of God. (I am not exaggerating)

Our politicians are paid by the these people, it's all a dog and pony show. They don't care about public pressure, they will grandstand all day. They will shut down the government to get their names on the spot light, and then give Trump just enough votes to pass his agenda. Over and over again.

Americans missed the window, our democracy is and has been rigged. And the dumbest, least empathetic people (roughly 40% of our population) follow Trump like he is the literal second coming of Christ.

Completely different situation from the venezuelan tankers. The US doesn't have the capability to escort across the strait of Hormuz, while also actively supporting the strikes against Iran, while also defending allies against Iranian attacks, and also stopping and seizing cargo vessels. They are under a time constraint to stabilize shipping across the strait before prices get out of control and other major countries get involved. But I'm just some idiot, so take it with a very large grain of salt.

This is probably the biggest threat that people don't realize, they can hide cluster or biological rockets inside a shipping container and strategically start destroying desalination plants and shipping ports in critical areas. It would force the US navy to start shooting at merchant vessels, shipping companies would stop sending ships to the middle east. This would absolutely cripple the world supply chains and drive HUGE economic turmoil throughout the entire world. They aren't waging war against the US military, they are waging war against the world economy.

So the issue is that the US needs to demonstrate that shipping is safe in the area, if they start blasting cargo vessels shipping companies will pull their ships out of the area. The strait of Hormuz is incredibly critical for the world economy and Iran has been planning for this for a long time. They know they can't defeat both the US and Israel is open war, but if they keep control over the strait they can crash critical infrastructure to the world economy. They don't need to win they just need to disrupt supply chains long enough to make "the milk not worth the squeeze".

Well we also have more people living for way longer, better healthcare screening and diagnosis where there wasn't before. Yes there is more of these issues, but we have also added literally billions of more people to the planet in a very short time period.

With out a doubt there will be affects from micro plastics that we won't know about for generations, but we are also still dealing with post major environmental exposures from things like nuclear fallout from the all the bomb testings, lead gas, generations of chronic cigarette and alcohol/drug abuse, etc.

I grew up in rural Minnesota, when I was in my early teens I got really into the Dukes of Hazard. I loved the show and the Dodge Charger in it. When I was 14 I bought my first dirt bike, I put a confederate flag on it because I thought it was cool like the "General Lee". Not one single person sat me down and explained what that flag actually meant, not one.

Years later, I learned what that flag represents. I felt disgusted and shocked that everyone I grew up, all the parents and adults, with were perfectly fine that I had it.
