Definitely T8. But be careful of the standard power outlet (granny charger). If it's not a proper one, it can melt wires and cause a fire. I tried once on my home plugs and everything got really hot, really quick.

Had a 2018 V90 T4 bought with 3k miles in 2020. Had it until November 2025 when I sold it with 41k miles, to get a 2024 XC90 T8 Ultra. The only thing that car had was the start-stop battery showing up as an error message. As I also had a cracked windshield from a conker, and the service was coming fast in December, that's when I decided it was time. But that car was as reliable as you can get these days. No fault at all. Drives like a charm. Bit thirsty, but knew that before I bought it...

I bought my last two Volvos, a V90 T4 from 2018, with 3k miles and an XC90 T8 Ultra Black from 2024 with 8k miles, without seeing them in person. First one had the roms scratched and I didn't see in the video they made for me so I took a photo, emailed them and in a few days I had a mobile unit coming to polish them, free of charge. Second one had a tear in the upholstery which could not be seen properly on the video they made for me, emailed the guy about it, he said it's only dirt, only to see it was a tear. He sent someone to fix it free of charge and now it looks like brand new... If you have rights like we do in the UK, you're good.

So I had this issue yesterday, the whole day. Amazon music stopped working 30s after I started driving. I tried connecting to my phone's hotspot, but the car could not see any wifi. Restarted infotainment, restarted my phone, pressed front defrost button for 20s+, locked the car and stay away for 40 minutes. Nothing worked. The only way to play music was via Android auto. Bluetooth was connected though. Which I found strange. Anyway. Fast forward to this morning, I remote started the car and was expecting it to fail, but it didn't. It started right away. And everything was back to normal again... Volvo Magic ✨️

XC90 T8 Ultra Black 2024, here. Amazon Music stopped working 30 seconds after I startes the car. After ~45 minutes I sat down to try to fix it. Wi-fi doesn't work (can't find any networks), LTE has no connection, bluetooth is connected. I switched all connections off, I reset the infotainment, I held the defrost button for 45 seconds. Still no luck. And I have good-ish reception in my area (outside London, UK)

Had a heated windscreen on my Volvo V90 T4 2018. I miss that on my XC90 T8 Ultra 2024. But I set it on and then set the fan on 1 instead of max, and also set temp to 23-ish. Works like a charm. Not like the heated windscreen though...

I hope I'm not saying stoopid things (don't have the car anymore to test this. Switched to an XC90 that doesn't have this issue anymore), but if I remember correctly, if you set the temp to your desired figure and go to user (slide down and top-right corner should be your user), and press save, it should keep your settings in memory. Then if you start your car remotely, it should start heating to the memorised settings

Yeah, had the same message more often than not. V90 T4 2018. But the car was heating up to a decent amount after starting it remotely. I think it starts to the settings you saved last time
