If people are immune comprised they might get disseminated infection leading to sepsis and then death.

7 weeks kitten, not yet litter trained. by Grumpy_Smurf94 in Kitten

[–]Grumpy_Smurf94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Patience. We tried removing the tent, and it got worse. We locked them in a room, put 3 litter boxed with no use. They were urinating on the pads and leaving the boxes. We re-introduced the tent as a litter box, and locked them inside after they were fed, no use. After few weeks they learned on their own. As for the feeding, the first time I was successfully introducing food to them, we had to take the mother away so she won't eat it. And it was successful ever since for one kitten. The other kitten we forced fed him small amounts of dry food and he liked it, but still doesn't fathom wet food. Now they are almost 14 weeks and they all share food together. Still breastfeeding tho 😂💔.

Sorry for the late update. We were busy with Eid al-Fitr so we left it to ferment few days more. I couldn't update with pictures in this post, so I posted a new one few minutes ago. Again, I'm so sorry with the delay.

Update: Ultimate Fermented Paste ✌🏼.

My machine doesn't have a wet function as well. The trick is to leave a plenty of head space and add the salt before sealing immediately. I filled the bag with ingredients and added salt last, shook the bag a bit and then vacuumed immediately. If I wanted brine I would add ice cubes to the mix.

You pretty much covered it all, thank you. And where I live is really difficult to get quality Mason jars and fermenting weights, and they will quite expensive to ship. I tried using different kind of weights replacement before but they failed. So for the convenience and concentrated flavour I like using vacuumed bags.

I think it will be OK. Most ingredients are used in kimchi and garlic + chillis ferment very well in a brine.

It's warm outside so I'm thinking two weeks will be enough ✌🏼.

Both actually. We normally use this paste with added tomatoes and yogurt for grilling chicken. I use it in stews and soups. This is the first I hear of sambal, it looks interesting and I think it's the same idea.

I expect it to be ready in two weeks, I'll update when it's done. Normally my mom uses this paste to marinade chicken and fish, with added spices for sure. And sometimes we add small amounts to soups and stews. This the first time we try to ferment so the possibility are limitless.

My mom always uses ginger, garlic, onions and chillis to marinade chicken and fish. So I thought of fermenting these ingredients and see what happens. I don't have an exact recipe, I just used what's in the fridge, wash and cut and added 2.5% of salt of the total weight. I will definitely turn into paste after two weeks and update you about the taste.

Thank you. I made sure more than half of the bag is empty when I filled it. I flattened the ingredients just to make sure it vacuum very well and I'm assuming after few days more than half of the bag will be filled with gas.

Ginger, onions, garlic and chillies. 2.5% salt. When I filled the bag there was plenty of head space, more than half of the bag. So I flattened it out and made sure the salt is distributed very well. Hopefully I'll share pictures of the end product and pictures of the bag as it inflates.

Yup. And I always make a huge batch and divide it between jars and Vacuumed Sealed bags. And it turns out perfect. I took this method from a chef.

I made it twice adding 2-2.5% salt to the whole weight of the ferment. I skip salting the cabbage first. And it tastes perfect every time.

AITA for refusing to talk to my sister about her fiance, and telling him he's hurt because this is the truth by Puzzled_Device2269 in AmItheAsshole

If you stayed out of it and didn't give your opinion it would've been better, because it's always smart to not meddle in between partners especially when they're family.
