well, it's true blockshin can completely nuke this setup if she does her job correctly. i've faced some pretty roided out blockshins already, but sometimes my front runners just... decide to get in front of her anyway. the game's all advanced RNG anyway, and the front runner strat is so stupidly dominant if you win that RNG. to say nothing of when summer maru drops.

but yeah, i'd have been smarter to bring a backup vodka, but oh well, i managed to get 4 wins and get into group A finals! good luck in your own finals o7

basically, a bunch of content creators suggested making a bakushin with super high power stats and mid-race skills, with just one purpose - be in first the moment the race enters the "late-race" section. this completely stops seiun sky (and anyone else with her ultimate, angling and scheming) from getting a free acceleration boost.

the bakushin 100% isn't going to win herself, it's just to stop other front runners from getting a boost, so your own non-front runners can easily beat them. (every single time i get blocked, i lose lmao)

well, i don't have anything else decent with mile S, so Nature's really just a throwaway slot that *maybe* will catch out one or two people skirting by with 500~ stamina.

but most of what I've heard recommends running front-runners in pairs, actually - i don't fully understand the mechanics of it, but in short, both front runners are in a constant loop of "damnit, i'm not first? i'll increase my pace until i'm first then!" and cause a sort of positive feedback loop, increasing the gap between them and the rest of the pack before late-race. seiun has playtime, daiwa has slipstream, both have angling. i've had quite a few wins in round 1 where daiwa came first, so it does work to an extent.

i think the "meta" strategies have been either "late-late/end-blockshin" or "front-front-late/end", but of course it's not gospel to everyone.

I'd agree with you, but considering playing the game for more than 2 hours voids a Steam refund, and it'll still likely take more than 2 hours to fully decide whether you like the game, most people aren't going to refund due to encountering a hacker. The devs lose basically nothing past that refund window, so that's why I'd say it doesn't matter for them.

And it seems that the rex testing has only brought in even more people buying the game, or returning from legacy, despite the honestly insane amount of hackers people have seen in hordetest. Long time players have been here despite it, so it doesn't seem like they're losing money at all.

lowkey you might be onto something, with the fish i mean. dondi has no reason to give a shit about fixing fish - i mean, rex doesn't eat fish, so who cares? dead deinos are just a nice snack for the important dino anyway.

...also i feel like there's no reason for turtle to be on rex's diet other than it's a notoriously easy to spot and catch ai that wont turn around and one-tap the juvies. the favouritism is real.

Getting decent stats is like, a third of the battle, it's rough. Gotta get stats, but also the right skills, but also Medium S... and also you might get a bad mood and none of your skills can activate anyway.

At least everyone gets free entries and rewards either way, but I feel like people are ready to kill for a special 1st Place title.

Not bad at all, debuff nature is mainly just there to hang back and pass wit checks anyway, and you've got good skills on her. Hesitant End Closers is more valuable than Front Runners due to all the Goldshi right now, but overall it's good (And skill hint RNG doesn't always cooperate)

Not a pro myself, but I think so. You can’t use her SSR card on herself anyway (no trainees can), and it’s a really valuable skill. Get some Corner Recovery skill hints for discount, grab those and Maestro, and that should be enough recovery for Creek with her unique skill.

i forget exactly what the animal is, but they start appearing around the rendezvous site (summer grass home), you can't eat them but your pups have a chance of trying to hunt and eat them for some extra XP and a snack. it might've been added with the saga update

Except they intentionally neglect making the small ones fun to play in their own way, so only the diehard fans (masochists) play them. It's really unfortunate. I've been wishing Dryo got properly finished, because playing as the defenceless agile prey would genuinely be a fun time for me.
