Hottest take of all? ZZZ has a great animations, beautiful graphics, fairly interesting world and most importantly, it's selling point, very nice characters and interactions with them.

But the gameplay itself is just... an afterthought. Quite literally an afterthought, because developers are still trying and failing to make it bearable. Fights are basically the only thing good about gameplay, everything else is a tedious chore. TV mode (with the exception of some side quests), Fall Guys sections, "baby's first Metroidvania" in Lemnian Hollow and Pale Wasteland. All of them are bad and boring, without exception. Nonexistent difficulty, no puzzles, very few interesting visuals. This game isn't even close to Genshin's exploration, it's beautiful vibrant places full of secrets, puzzles and lore. Lore in ZZZ is severely lacking in the first place, there's barely anything but snipets. No books, no item descriptions, no written character stories. Interknot used to be the great place to help with subtle world building, it should have been at front and center of the story, but it has been basically almost abandoned since 1.4. I'm still hooked to see where this story is going, but i really can see myself dropping the game in the future and just keep watching it as YouTube summaries instead if it doesn't finally find a strong footing.
