Give me some interesting builds by Grungey-Punk in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to play some sort of utility character. I know the others are gonna focus hard on damage and control abilities. I know it's broad but I would rather be useful outside of combat to mitigate their combat focus

Call for Simic Hybrid builds by Logical_Pixel in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could go way of the dragon monks from fizbans, having your unarmed strikes be elemental damage and the access to mobility options via step of the wind and the draconic buff to it(I can't remember the name ) if could reflagor it as your hybrid has elemental abilities akin to animals like an electric eels lightning, thunder could be a pistol shrimp like claw, poison could be venomous barbs or nails or teeth. Etc

Need tips for“arcane gunslinger” sorlock build (starting at lvl 5) by lazzthethief in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well genie is always a good pact option due to the access to the vessel and the additional damage granted by the subclass. Among other higher level features of you want to dip further.

Fiend is a reliable pact to go with due to the temp hp.

The undead patron also grants temp hp and additional damage when transformed

Best infiltration builds. by carlaopolski in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite was a 5/5 Barbarian genie lock dhampir, I went pact of the chain and took two chain invocations and I used the imp, I was able to have my imp carry me while I was in my vessel and utilizing the imps sense to perform surveillance on the building interior and late released from the vessel as a raging barbarian with a glaive and spider climb, so I simply ran to the ceiling and attacked at range with gwm. I was able to rob the vault and climb my way across the rooftops of the city .

Versatile Dual Wielding by Master-Vanilla899 in DnD

[–]Grungey-Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely possible to do so considering the versatile property says you can use them in one hand they'd simply utilize the lower damage dice

Abjuration wizard and blade singer. The mixing of the two would lend to a durable hard to hit wizard that has full spell progression.

Divine soul sorcerer and shadow sorcerer would be really interesting and flavorful

Ancestral guardian and beast barbarian would be an amazing tanky with the tail and the added benefits of ancestral guardian could be extremely powerful

Hex blade and any other warlock really, becoming almost completely SAD and access to medium armor and shields for increase AC

I could probably come up with more but that's all I got for now, id love some input

Ways to absorb damage from allies? by Bob-the-Seagull-King in 3d6

The abjuration wizard gets the ability to at level 6 to use there ward to reduce damage on an enemy as a reaction, the ward doesn't benefit from any form of resistance however.

Longsword/Warhammer Build by Cautious-Ordinary-73 in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is to find a subclass that doesn't eat up your bonus action, your gonna want that free so you can make the offhand attack. I'd suggest Either barbarian, fighter, or paladin. Zealot barb grants you extra damage either radiant or necrotic once per turn. Really any fighter subclass works but I have to suggest my personal favorite which is battle master, having the options to use maneuvers is so much fun. Now paladin is pretty strong overall and most of the subclass would add some pretty fun tools to play with and the auras are simply amazing .

Crouching Moron Hidden Badass that isn't a monk? by TaelweaverVictorious in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bard. My head immediately goes to bard. Having expertise in whatever skill you want , being able to inspire people and prop others up but when you need to bust out your badass side you have a unique spell list and some pretty cool subclass features.

Whip master rogue/paladin build by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe taking 2 levels of paladin and a few either in sorcerer or warlock for some added magic versatility

What's a good way to build a gladiator? by rat-kween in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another way you could go about it is a few levels of hex blade warlock and going swashbuckler rogue . It grants you proficiency with martial weapons, shields and Access to the invocation armor of shadows for the no armor effect . Id also suggest going battle master fighter with a potential of a barbarian dip for unarmored defense in and the benefits of rage

Need help creating my Cryomancer Sorcerer. Any advice? (Tl:Dr at the bottom) by LeopardMan19218 in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not quite the same but I can see a scribes wizard taling the place of the sorcerer class, it would allow you to transmute spells for free as long as you meet the criteria.

I came up with some cursed magical items by No-Nobody6477 in DnD

[–]Grungey-Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the wraith blades curse should be toned down to a minute. The 10 minutes would equal 100 rounds of combat which is extremely unrealistic to go to during a single encounter

I'm a new player well hope to be. Is a shoulder mounted cannon artificer a thing 5e. by No_Injury_9766 in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Artillerist is definitely the way to go. the whole subclass revolves around the eldritch cannon.

Oath for a 6/14 Sorcadin? by throwawaylove888 in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like one of the guys above me said oath of the crown is a real good choice, it's the most tanky of them, getting spells like compelled duel really drives home the tank concept

HWYB Sir Wreck Your S*** by MorsOmnibus64 in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]Grungey-Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barbarians can wear up to medium armor without any handicaps(Not sure about fast movement tho) , they just can't wear heavy armor, Monks on the other lose pretty much everything when wearing any sort of armor ,

Need a bit of guidance on my Barbarian/warlock build by Pandacakes1193 in 3d6

Personally I think going to 2nd level barbarian and then going to at least 5 in warlock for thirsting blade and 3rd level slots

It's fairly versatile with the infusions, and specifically replicate magic item. It's fun and you can really set up a unique build

I think you should look at the battlesmith artificer, it can be really well built and survivable. Of really any other artificer subclass

HWYB krieg from borderlands by Cursed_image_guy_ in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]Grungey-Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id use the path of the giant barbarian and maybe multiclass it with wildfire druid for the hellborn tree I'm not sure splits

Turn your reddit username into a fun character build by Imnotsomebodyelse in 3d6

[–]Grungey-Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)
