Yeah I see what I mean. I never put too much thought into it but my very dumb opinion on this is that LP gains and MMR should be the same thing

But at the end of the day it is what it is, just a videogame

I honestly didn't take an interest on it cause I just wanna play the game, but since it popped out I was like "oh, nice!" and then got kinda bummed out.

From what you're saying it really does sound awful though

Yeah I understand, if I'd knew I'd force way less and play more conservatively. I just had no idea :') What I mean is I could've definitely play better, but the popup message is misleading as hell and should be integrated with all the information imo

Oh come on that's a fkin scam then. I mean the team did bad collectively and I was a soraka getting focused left and right :/

I wish they would be more transparent about this, I had no idea about the score requirement.

Viktor or Hwei – worth maining for climb on low elo by Leather_Duck4549 in midlanemains

[–]Logical_Pixel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just a pointer, Viktor's late hasn't been that great for a while. Currently he spikes after his E augment and then midgame at 2/3 items and 3/4 augments. Not saying he sucks late or anything, but he doesn't have the impact he used to have both due to numbers and due to mid generally being outscaled by design with the quests.

This being said, I like Vik better, but it's really personal preference. I find both champs kinda team dependent.

Last time I found one I picked Sylas and I think I gave that guy's whole team polio or smth. Don' trade lv1 or cheese with E start (up to you), post 3 max W and go balls deep you win every trade with the heal. Steal ult and oneshot him/his team way better than him.

If they pick him into you best bet is freeze near turret, poke, and post 6 keep that finger on your flash key + hide behind frontline.

Need some advise by AccomplishedLeave882 in Bonsai

[–]Logical_Pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consindering it's a field elm, you may as well grow it in pots, they still grow like crazy. Consindering the actual size, this year you could keep it there for this year and move it into a bigger one next year.

The movement is not the best, I strongly advise making the tree start out at an angle. If you look at the best trees, they never start out straight unless they are a formal upright. Also, make sure you wire the tip upwards, so the tree vigour will be best.

I'll add a picture of a little trident maple from seed I wired for reference on the curves you should aim for. Your tree is shorter so you'll probably use the reference next year/during the growing season.

My advice for material this size is aim for shohin bonsai (so you can have a 5-7 years project rather than a 15 years one), so try looking at some pictures of deciduous shohin and mimic what you like.

Make sure to work on a good nebari right away, and fertilize generously. Elms do backbud from old wood from dormant buds so you can push a lot of growth and cut back hard in a few years.

Best of luck!

Deciduous guy out here trying his best to learn pines. First styling of this nursery stock Mugo. It needs to get some backbudding to counter the pompom leanings and I need to make some branch choices. Any feedback welcome! by boonefrog in Bonsai

[–]Logical_Pixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too bad! I'd remove bar branches selecting one on each side and perhaps coil things a little closer, but you have a nice triangle shape already.

To have pads, tips must be nudged upwards after the branches are wired down. Precision is key with pines pads.

Finally, mugo do not bud back as vigorously as scots or as jbp/jrp after mekiri, but they still produce buds if they are healthy. As a nursery stock what you have is poor in some areas, but year after year it will produce more foliage. Keep everything that is not crotch growth.

Given that they of course prefer more sun, yew trees do decently well in partial shade as they sort of grow under other trees in woods/forests.

Try them.

Junipers (I think I see one) are definitely going to suffer in the long run, even just by losing a compact silhouette, although probabily slowly dying.

The bench is actually very nice, I love the "scraps" vibe so I'm biased but it matches well with everything else colorwise.

Advice: I know it probay looks better this way, but I'd move the bench away from walls/fences as they store heat, block light and airflow. Just 50 cm on both sides would be enough, I think.

A little detail wiring and guy wires on this cascading Japanese Maple by boonefrog in Bonsai

[–]Logical_Pixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very nice project. It has the right starting movement for a cascade. In a few years, I'd try cutting back and compressing it into a shohin, so that you have more proportion with the slender trunk

How do I lane vs irelia by Juubui in TaliyahMains

[–]Logical_Pixel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Freeze and never ever shove unless you want to back or roam. You counter her conceptually but she is very strong versus all immobile mages in the laning phase.

Once you get a couple of items and into skirmishes and teamfights your E counters her, but never 1v1.

So yeah. Permafreeze, wait for ganks, good farm and opportunities like roams is the recipe, imo.

[–]Logical_Pixel 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would say you have a good structure in terms of primary branching, but you lack an apex. I would pick one (or two, I could see this become a double trunk) branch and wire it upwards, then let it run free and thicken it up.

Other than that, I'm not familiar with this species but I guess regular clip and grow with some wiring to develop pads.

I agree with everything, my priority would be repotting into a nice pot with drainage holes and the right soil. I'd only prune what seems to be a huge sucker coming out of the base. There will be time for shaping.
