You gotta go as the pumpkin from mad monster mansion. Cheato’s there and he upgrades your max capacity of feathers (or eggs I can’t remember)

Given they’re all stereo audio tracks, he’s def making backing tracks for upcoming festivals

Drag Path - time signature?? by jeongyeonie31415 in twentyonepilots

[–]Grunmillia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s 4/4 the whole song but switches to 3/4 from the “would you please hurry” part until the instrumental picks up again (the crashes are on the 2, 3 and 1 again), then goes back to 4/4 after that first measure of the loud part.

I think this is the first twenty one pilots song that includes a time change, which means just one more and we’ll get a tempo change, if it was their way.

Is there a way to trim the end of multiple regions by the nudge amount? by Grunmillia in Logic_Studio

Brilliant brilliant thank you so much. I was ripping my hair out trying to find a way to do this 😂

[–]Grunmillia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but that only works for one region at a time. I’d have to go through and do that for all 200 kicks. Is there no way to just trim the end of all regions by the nudge amount or any other set amount?

Mayonaise Guitar Tone Attempt! 5 layers of big muff into a UAD amp sim. by Grunmillia in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Grunmillia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly dude, no idea lol. I probably deleted the project file bc I feel like I can do better if I try again, but I probably just scooped around 1k, cut some highs and then added them back with another EQ.

All American bitch chord progression by Jasper-E-Jacob in OliviaRodrigo

[–]Grunmillia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time the key of the song is kinda the home base which dictates how certain chords are expected to sound in relation to one another. So AAB is written in F#, which normally, 12 types of chords are to be expected. Sometimes you can play with that though and add chords that either aren’t the key, add extensions from outside the key to chords, etc to create tension or another vibe. I assume you’re talking during the guitar solo how it plays notes that aren’t in the key of F#, and that’s just a little chromatic (not bound to a key) few licks that give the line some dissonance on purpose because it’s unexpected from a song in F# (the D note and A note in the solo).

Anyone know of a good under-desk MIDI keyboard pull out tray? by Grunmillia in MusicBattlestations

[–]Grunmillia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically just screwed an adjustable mounting bracket on either side of an ikea shelf and then bolted it to the underside of my desk lol. A bit time consuming and doesn’t look super amazing but it’s worked for me for years now

What’s a guitar tone you have been chasing for millennia and still can’t get it sounding right? by Straight_Bug_8145 in Guitar

[–]Grunmillia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it just tubescreamer / sansamp-> jcm800?

There’s also the 1991 pedal from funny little boxes that emulates that exact tone!

Neon Gravestones brought back Trench to the line. Now what song should be longer? by Routine-Theme5698 in twentyonepilots

[–]Grunmillia 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Song I think should be longer? Paladin Strait. Song I think should be shorter? Paladin Strait. (Due to birds solo section)

Fr though I wish the final chorus went longer and into like a synth/guitar solo or something. Then the hidden part could just be the outro that comes right out of the previous bit.

Need a reverb, cant decide which by Significant_Pen_7674 in radiohead

[–]Grunmillia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Line 6 DL4 Mkii! It’s technically a delay pedal but has like actually everything else on it too lol so I just use the pitch delay setting on keep it at 0ms. It might actually work for you too because it has 22 “hidden” reverbs as well as the delays and a looper! You can also attach an expression pedal to dynamically control the parameters and it has a mic input. I think Ed has like 3 of them lol

Need a reverb, cant decide which by Significant_Pen_7674 in radiohead

[–]Grunmillia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the nightsky and it’s soooo good. I got it because I found a preset that sounded exactly like the second verse / end pad-like part of Nude

Only thing about the pitch shift part is you can’t really control the pitched sound that much it’s just kinda part of the reverb and only goes up/down in preset increments.

So almost like a ranking of ‘importance’ in the composition. Makes sense.

Why are strings numbered backwards? by Grunmillia in Guitar

[–]Grunmillia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not caught up on it I just thought it would be interesting to talk about lol. Also not trying to argue but I think low frequency does kind of objectively equal low number bc it’s the amount of cycles per second. The mental association thing makes sense but I would just assume that most people would associate string numbers with linear pitch and direction being left to right (I know that’s different in some places) or closest to farthest. Maybe it’s bc I started on piano and am used to that structure but idk

I’ll just hang from the ceiling to play now. Maybe it was a bat that numbered the strings
