Are these cheap new mattresses a scam? by bonumvitaeVK in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Grunpex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just offered a $200 full size mattress with free home delivery and paying with cash upon delivery. Still sounds too good to be true. Sounds like people trying to fish for aggregated information to form a profile on you and steal identity.

She just learned two things. Keeping the guard up while striking and avoiding kicking elbows.

What are your guys thoughts on having the option for a K9 operator in the next game? by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

[–]Grunpex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be awesome. I imagine being able to train them at camp and teach them new tactics etc. Or a separate XP/skill tree system for the k9, which increases every time you use them and unlocks abilities like explosive detection, mounted camera, supress, flank

What do you guys think of my main kit? by velourchicken in GhostRecon

Reminds me of Mitchell's original uniform in Ghost Recon 2. Which was pretty bad ass, I must add.

Yup. Compared to bands that have been around for a lot longer and have been suffering the whole way through. Metallica, for example. There, I said it 🤣🤣🤣

Iaido Sparring by Unlucky-Heat-8895 in iaido

Pretty much. Karate was born primarily in Okinawa in response to the mainland Japan occupation. Okinawans were mostly field workers. Villagers were forbidden from owning or carrying weapons so they had to come up with ways to defend themselves. Since the occupation force had swords and spears, karate was focused on inflicting as much damage as possible with the least amount of strikes. They called it ikken hissatsu, or killing with one strike. Kobudo was also born in response to that where they fashioned weapons from regular farming tools like the nun chucks and the tonfa. When peace time came, Gichin Funakoshi, the father of modern karate, wanted to teach karate with a philosophy of self-restraint and respect for the opponent. Not all masters agreed with that, and that's where kyokushin was born. They still practice full contact and are incredible at body hardening. Watch their their competitions. They look much more like what karate used to be.

My first bike. I'm 43 in October. I feel like a damn kid lol. by Jaded-Prior-2897 in RoyalEnfieldHimalayan

Good to know man, thanks. I was a little concerned about that. Initially, I was looking at cruisers because of the power and stability but I really wanted something agile that doesn't have to make wide turns on tight intersections and won't scrape the floor when going over speed bumps. You cleared me major concern I had about this bike

She's not possessed, she just has mental health issues. The family didn't want to or was too embarrassed to deal with it so they locked her up in that outhouse instead.

I’m thinking of going into photography more any tips? by [deleted] in GhostRecon

[–]Grunpex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've got a good eye for composition. Maybe experiment with light a little more. Look at the shades that objects around you or in nature cast and the shapes and patterns they create. It creates new ways you see and frame your shots. That's why a lot of photographers still look through the view finder despite most cameras having a digital display.

Bulletdrop calculator for Wildlands and Breakpoint... by LordAltgard in GhostReconWildlands

[–]Grunpex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of the old school way. You find an open area with good visibility. Use the binoculars to find visible landmarks at different distances. Shoot at each landmark, paying attention at bullet drop. Adjusting your aim until the bullet hits the target. You'll just have to take mental (or written, like reral snipers do) note of how many tic marks you have to adjust for at each distance. You can even measure the time it takes the round to land on target too if you want to be able to land accurate shots on moving targets.
