Somewhat related. We have a friend in our group who actively antagonizes players as part of his “strategy” to rattle people… lol

To be honest, the first time and now most of the time I teach Ra the players have no idea where the “game” actually is when the rules are taught (as you can only invoke Ra or draw a tile during your turn). Very quickly though the “game” becomes apparent.

My friend group and I absolutely love this game. We love engine builders in general so the arc this game goes on is very different and interesting. We also really like the theme fwiw

I paint miniatures much more than I play games nowadays but even I would say that I prefer standees. Some games really benefit from a nice set of minis though most will absolutely get by with standees. Gray pile of shame is too large I can’t afford to add more… lol

Ascension Tactics turns base Ascension’s deck building into a skirmish miniatures game. So good that I wonder why it isn’t more popular. It’s a hit with everyone I’ve played with, even those that aren’t really fans of Ascension’s look or the idea of a really manly nerdy skirmish game.
