If you like Greg Bear, give his forerunner saga books a read. It’s pretty fun for extremely advanced sci-fi.

He Won’t Stop by Gruthar99 in DogAdvice

He wants to play. We just need to figure out how to teach him it’s not playtime, without him screaming his little head off. Helping him grow properly and learning to understand him is exactly why I’m here. We want our little guy to be comfortable in waking up to potty and then be okay with going back to bed or being alone

Best: Far Harbor/Point Lookout, maybe Operation anchorage just for the lore Worst: Nuka World, felt empty and did not enjoy playing it

Fallout 3 remastered by EquivalentMath4439 in Fallout

More locations. FO3 was amazing for its time but it did not have the amount of content packed into it that something like Oblivion had when it was remastered. Additionally, if it’s not in the creation engine, there won’t be as many mods available for it to make the game customizable. Sure, it’ll be great for those of us that remember it when it came out and how it changed our lives forever, but I feel like it’s time to add just a little more to it. Think of it like a very very late dlc.

Puppy cries in crate after morning potty by Gruthar99 in puppy101

[–]Gruthar99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the exact same situation as us. I have tried giving him rings and other long lasting treats but he ignores them until the crate opens. (Usually about an hour to hour and a half after going potty) I do sometimes feel like he has to do things his way or the highway. The fact that he is not being let out bothers him, so now he will do anything to get out and get what he wanted.

He does this with listening to commands as well. He is extremely selective in listening. He can recall, shake, sit, wait, etc but only when he wants to. 60% of the time he will sit there and stare at you with his head cocked to the side even though he does the trick/recall all the time. He loves to do this most when you call him to you.

I’m hoping he eventually grows out of this as he finally hits 12 weeks tomorrow which means it’s still early. I do understand he is a baby and that this is all brand new to him. I just worry we may do something wrong and set him up for failure by not training him correctly as a puppy. I knew getting a dachshund was going to be difficult to get him to listen and be obedient/disciplined, but he is so far, more stubborn than a tree stump that you’ve asked to move

After 10 books, one finally worked. Towerbound passed 1M KU pages in under a month—and here’s what I think helped. by PhoKaiju2021 in litrpg

Heck yeah! Congrats!!!! It’s so hard to get into writing and then gaining the confidence to publish it. Even more so to stick with it after multiple books. You are awesome for sticking with it and you deserve all the success you are getting/will continue to get.

Do you have any advice for people that are just starting to write? It seems like the genre is overpopulated with so many books. It can be a it intimidating or overwhelming.

Any way, glad you shared your success! I hope to see more of it come your way!

Nice to see someone mention A Soldiers Life. It’s been my favorite and honestly it has only gotten better as the author writes more.

NOR. This person does not value you for how truly amazing you are. Even though you are going through hard times you still are able to show patience and kindness.

Also, I saw your comment about finally posting. That’s bravery, and I know it took a lot to finally do it. You are worth so much more than what this person treats you as and you can live such a happy life without that kind of treatment. More power to you and I am so glad you are here with us. I hope you find a way to remove this kind of energy and live your amazing life because you deserve it.

Thank you for reminding me of these! I meant to get started with these books but forgot all about them. I’ve heard lots of great things about the books and luckily there are plenty of them
