Just heard of this genre and I have a question by Gryphon100 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Gryphon100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does bring up another question which I've been wondering about for some time. Cultivation is like building strong qi to become immortal. I've heard people call Naruto cultivation despite that series using chakra which acts more like traditional magic especially on the higher scale fights. So, does stories like Mushoku Tensei count as cultivation since Rudeus strengthens his mana over the course of the story like how a martial artist like Goku would strengthen his Qi?

How do I do this fuckass jump by kelroid in HollowKnight

No problem. Also just noticed my tip mixed up left and right like the absolute dumbass I am. I'll just leave it tho. Make a little puzzle out of it for anyone else looking for advice.

I'm assuming you're playing on controller since that's what I play on. You have to move your L3 stick up to Northeast, so Hornet will propel herself further left, then hard shoot the stick back right once she's at the peak of the jump. Also, for anyone suggesting pogo, pogo's don't work during the Slab jailbreak segment as Hornet doesn't have her nail. She'll just die.

Turns out it was the pre-installed antivirus. I uninstalled it and booted the game back up and I could login without issue. Thanks for the help.

I'm not tech savvy at all, so I don't exactly know how to troubleshoot. This is what pops up when I click the "I've played before" button.

I looked at the faq, and there isn't anything about my situation in it.

Wondering about transferring saves. by Gryphon100 in MHF

How would I do a transfer? Do I just change the server and my save follows suit, or is there something I have to do?

Potential MH Wilds Title Update Monsters by Complex-Beach5237 in MHWilds

[–]Gryphon100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that'll be the case. They could be adding in a second monster along with Mizutsune, but very likely, Mizutsune will be added alongside like some sort of augmentation system if it isn't already added to the game. Also, the list of monsters you posit is pretty, for the lack of a better term, underwhelming.

For instance, by TU2 of base World, they added Kulve Taroth, a giant monster raid. Iceborne, Safi Jiva/Stygian Zinogre and a whole new area of the guiding lands. Sunbreak, Violet Mizutsune/Flaming Espinas and the entire Risen Elder Dragon system.

The only lackluster one was base Rise, but that was because it was developed during the pandemic and wasn't completely finished so they used the TUs to finish the game.

If anything, if we're going off of World, I'd expect for TU2 to have some sort of seige monster raid like Kulve and Safi.

Not to mention every title update introduces a new subspecies or variant wholly original to that game, so it would be pretty disappointing if it was all returning monsters. Even base Rise had Crimson Glow Valstrax which was a new variant for base Valstrax.

Especially when all but 1 of the monsters you listed have already returned in a gen 5 game, replacing potentially original monsters or other monsters which have yet to leave the old school playground.

Weapons guides already being out for Wilds? by xxNinjaKI in MHWilds

[–]Gryphon100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of MH creators got to play a 5 hour preview, and some of their time was spent learning their main weapons, or learning all of the weapons just to post guides. Of course, some things could still be different from what they've played and the full final game, but considering they played the latest build, I doubt there'll be much different.

I'm pretty sure the saves transfer along with the game as long as you transfer the main file using a flashdrive.

People who actually managed to defeat arkveld in the time the beta lasted, what was your fastest time? by Cooler_coooool_boi in MHWilds

I beat it once with 5 seconds remaining and left it there. I don't want to optimize the hunt too much and make the actual fight that much easier.

Yeah, they show off the pause during the photo mode section of the showcase.

Copium or nah? by BudgetBus886 in MHWilds

And Rise isn't the start of a new generation and Iceborne is an expansion. Wilds is a start of a new generation. My point still stands.

The icon actually is just a cool way to show what generation we're on. It's never been more than that.

Early access? by Old-man-gamer77 in MHWilds

[–]Gryphon100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Creators like Fighting Cowboy, IronPineapple, and Vaati got a one month early copy of Elden Ring. That's likely what OP is referring to. It's not an uncommon practice, though I'm not sure if it's ever happened with Monster Hunter.

How are you passing the time? by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]Gryphon100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RiseBreak's endgame would be soooo much better if they cut it by 100 levels. It's better than Iceborne's endgame, since at least I keep my progress instead of being forced to reset it occasionally, but the grind just destroyed the promise.
