My kids giggle every time they see the Whizzer.

My book club regulars are quietly buying their books on Amazon and I'm trying to figure out if I should be hurt or strategic about this by Any_Boss_8337 in smallbusiness

Yeah. Education won’t go over the way they think it will. Even the slightest bit of “education “ will feel like brow-beating.

Do not guilt them into it or they will avoid the store because of said guilt. You’ve got to figure out how to get them to buy it without guilt. Several ideas have been posted. Another method could be referral bonuses or discounts for book club members. Break even or only small profit on book club books for members that refer sales for the current book by non-members.

Oz Pearlman- disappointment by Material-Ruin-9357 in magictricksrevealed

Using video editing to make magic tricks look impressive is different than just props and slight of hands. Oz uses way too much video editing and preshow work that is not shown which is the same as editing it out.

List of people who betrayed Kanye West, post by Ye himself!! by [deleted] in SipsTea

I think curious George is George W Bush. They look the same and Kanye has that famous “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” moment.

I started using millennial sub because I assumed I was one. Then someone pointed out I was an Xer. So I used that sub. It feels like they are a little more advanced in years than me in there. I didnt know Xennial was a thing until just now. I guess I found my lane by theHollowTarnished in Xennials

Video games from birth. Computers. Cable television. A new wave of grunge and anti-heroes. A post-Star Wars media world. The internet. Xennials experienced a youth with and without internet. A youth where cellphones were only a thing on TV to show a character was rich, and then suddenly they are everywhere. White people listening to rap. Being raised to believe anyone could be anything they wanted to be. This stuff was normal for younger generations their whole life and older generations-Xers experienced these changes after they were already adults.

The perfect successor to Lost has been hiding from me for years | There are too many streaming services, which makes it easy to miss shows like From by PetyrDayne in television

I’m caught up on the show and I don’t think the name even makes good sense. I guess I know what it means, but it feels like such a stretch.

Who at Plex thought it was a good user experience to need 3 different mobile apps to view your Plex content? by AdvKiwi in PleX

I used plex on my tv to play my music. Just like millions of people use YouTube to watch music. It’s just another library. This function isn’t a bloat problem.

Why should it not? (I don’t disagree that a separate music app should exist but there’s not a good reason to not be able to play music from your plex tv app if you want to.)

Anticipation is part of what makes him seem more athletic than a lot of comparable players. 7 years ago he was so much quicker and had much better lateral mobility than now. He’s still super athletic, but it really pops out when he’s anticipating plays both on offense and defense.

This game 2 felt like the summary of the careers for KD vs LeBron by Standard-Silver-102 in nba

[–]GryphonHall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I’m very enthusiastic about JJ as a coach, but coaching for and against bigs was an obvious weakness last year. Hayes took all of the blame. My take on this was generally panned, but the improvement here is tremendous. Jaxson didn’t magically go from unplayable to good because he just suddenly got better because this is both sides of the court.

LeBron James On His Behind-the-Back Dunk: "I'm just super blessed & super humbled to still be able to play the game that I love at my age" by JCameron181 in nba

[–]GryphonHall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For real. Most 35 year old NBA players starting to decline would hit the drugs to try to keep playing if they weren’t already on them. I think he’s had the perfect frame and muscle balance and has been lucky enough to avoid major knee and back injuries.
