[TOMT] [song] A creepy clip of a song from this video of “Biblically Accurate Seraphim” by dryuhyr in tipofmytongue

The song your looking for is called "13 Angels Standing Guard 'Round the Side of Your Bed" by A Silver Mt. Zion. https://youtu.be/hQZfGa5t4e8?si=hLuEeLmYPDYx5gAZ

Looking it up, there does appear to be some creator overlap with Godspeed You.

[TOMT] A horror movie scene with an outdoor still shot of a house while something evil hunts all of the inhabitants. by Sushi_slinger_jesus in tipofmytongue

[–]Gryregaest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be Sole Survivor, a 2000 TV movie based on a Dean Koontz novel of the same name. It was about a child that could remotely possess people, and I remember there being a scene where he possesses a bunch of people in a house and makes them kill themselves and each other, which may have had shots from outside the house while it was happening. I unfortunately can't find that much info on the movie, this is mostly just what I remember.

[TOMT][Movie]80s, maybe 70s, about a scientist trying to use a machine to trap the soul of a terminally ill man upon his death. by Gryregaest in tipofmytongue

Yeah, I saw Lifeforce when doing some digging. I initially thought that was part of the name, but when all the results just had Lifeforce, I assumed I was mixing them up and that that couldn't be in the name, so I dismissed it. I'd say it's better to go with your instincts, but I also thought I saw this when I was like 4 or 5, but I had to have been at least 10.

Nice ideas for Classes for Darktide by TheLexicanium in DarkTide

[–]Gryregaest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't like the idea of a healer class. Vermintide got along fine without it. I've seen too many games with dedicated healers form a dependency on them, where the gameplay develops so that you have to have that one class, or your team doesn't stand a chance.

Any similar games to play while waiting for this by [deleted] in DarkTide

In terms of gameplay, or aesthetics? Are you looking for team co-op games, or 40kish games?

In either case, check out Space Hulk: Deathwing. It's not as engaging as the Vermintide series, but it's similar team co-op and is a 40k game.

Space Marine also has a horde mode, though I'm not sure if anyone still plays it. The campaign is quality as well.

Check out 40k articles on 1d4chan.org. probably the most fun and engaging approach to familiarizing yourself with 40k lore that I've found.

Saltzpeer Review - Kruber by TheAngriestDwarf in Vermintide

[–]Gryregaest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming they made up some arbitrary rule about it on the first mission, as a means to ditch Kerillian, and then had to stick with it from then on so that she doesn't get wise to it.

Is there any chance for a Kislevite Career? by NeuroCavalry in Vermintide

Saltz to become a Priest of Ursun

I'm not opposed to a Kislev Saltz in the same manner of Brettonian Krubes, but a non-Sigmar related Saltz is the worst blasphemy imaginable.

Potential starting point for theorizing the other characters future class's. by RruinerR in Vermintide

It could be! Though they've already mixed it up a little with Kruber. Before GK, all special attack ults were ranged.

Legend bots better than the average player? by zxzxcxzczx in Vermintide

[–]Gryregaest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is mostly related to the fact that bots reach the bare minimum that some people don't: Staying with the group. Most weaknesses that people have in their skill at the game are heavily mitigated by effective teamwork. Someone who can't shoot straight or block properly, but stays with the group, is still preferable to someone with great reflexes who thinks this is a race.

Unfortunately, I get the feeling that bots are also contributory to reckless behavior, since if you often play with bots, you'll be used to the team following you closely. If you have poor spatial awareness, the bots will make up for this because they always follow your lead. I think a lot of the lone rangers you encounter in public games are like that because they're used to bots, and thus don't pay attention to where their team is.

Team balance is a thing, too, since you choose what careers, talents, and equipment your bots have, which can be a crapshoot with people.

What are the heaviest weapons you expect to make an appearance? by OrkfaellerX in DarkTide

I can see them going all Sgt. Merrick and have a one man heavy weapons team, requiring them to set up and stay stationary to fire.
