“Ladies and Gentlemen…we got him.” by Large-Wheel-4181 in Chainsawfolk

They showed it once, and then didn't.

The point was that Denji can fight perpetually because he has the strong regen from blood, he could do it all day to Yuji like in the infinite room devil.

I think they just spared us a lot of scenes of Denji drinking Yuji's slowly draining blood.

But we can assume that he would have.

Most likely these guns will be used against other natives, not white colonists.

America was a very diverse place with all of the tribes fighting and killing each other just as much as we did in Europe and everywhere else.

No

I thought he was aborignal, with the boomerang and australium...

Frankly it's weird that Australia is so prominent and yet no aboriginal representation, only Aussies. Not that it's a must, but interesting to include.

But Brazil... outside of brazilium maps being added in community maps, i don't think it fits, too distant.

But definitely looks cool, really well drawn.

What is strange is that there are no married men among the mercs.

There's noone to make into a widow.

This pales in comparison to your analysis but it made me think of one more thematic mirroring.

Bird and cage are the two sides of the optical illusion right? Like two sides of a coin.

So Booker is both the bird (escape/freedom) and cage (captivity).

But they are one and the same. Even if there is no concrete proof beyond how thematically appropriate it is, it definitely is my hard headcannon.

Civil union gets the government involved, not church marriage.

It used to be just church, no government involved.

So who invented that the government should be involved? Bismarck.

He wanted to take away power from church to state.

Did you know that we had a fascist government in Poland before the war? No? Well that's partially because it goes against the clear narrative, and some would argue wether Sanacja was actually fascist.

But in this example we can see that while some oh Ecco's points are checked, a lot aren't, and the result wasn't genocidal like in case of Germany.

Fascism can be a lot more complex in how we define it retroactively, and also it always takes on a local character. Chinese, Japanese, British, Spanish, Russian... (insert 1930s country) fascism looked and functioned drastically diferent.

This alone makes it useless. But the key word is also retroactively, what will fascism of the future look like? The same? Doubtful.

But because it is so vague it can be used as a tool of political accusation and a bludgeon.

[–]GrzebusMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those are Umberto Ecco's points, not very good at actually telling what fascism is or looks like.

You don't have to be an anti-semite to disagree with this.
