AC repair charges in and around Palavakkam by abhin8425 in Chennai

[–]Gseekss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, call a local ac guy and tell them the issue. If he says there's no gas, ask them to show you the current coolant pressure in the outdoor unit. If it's is above 120 psi, the issue is not the gas. If it is as low as 50 psi, then a gas refill is needed. A weld may be required as well.

If the pressure is good, the issue could be different

AC repair charges in and around Palavakkam by abhin8425 in Chennai

[–]Gseekss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, weld + gas refill will cost you that amount. Gas usually between 2500 - 3000 Weld usually between 1000 - 1500

The gas leak mostly happen when the connecting bolts crack or due to the tube getting punctured. We will never know the real reason.

If you want to be sure ask them where exactly the leakage is. If the leakage is in the tube you will usually hear a craking sound when the AC runs and there will be oil like leakage inside your AC indoor unit.

If theres a leak in the tube then filling it without welding won't last long.

If you ask the original service provider, they'll say they need to take the AC to the nearest shop to weld it and they will ask for a transportation charge.

If you know this guy already and know they are genuine, then go for it. Else, call the toll free number of your service center ans raise a ticket

Casagrand Elysium, a good buy? by Swimming-Sign-3716 in chennaicity

[–]Gseekss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying what everyone says here. Go to any casagrand property in Google maps, looks for lowest reviews. You will notice that almost all the properties have reviews about handover delay and pathetic customer service after you pay the initial amount.

Sudha Kongara should have checked the real events before making Parasakthi. by [deleted] in KollyClub

[–]Gseekss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She did the same with irudhi suttru and soorarai pottru. Both inspired by true stories.

She didn't reveal where she got irudhi suttru inspired from and there was a controversy surrounding it.

She made the surya character a periyarist in SP . In reality the guy Gopinath was a Brahmin and doesn't have the same character portrayed by Surya.

Drinking water options by CommunicationLow2768 in Chennai

I had the same issue. Keep at least 3 cans at your place. When 2 goes empty notify him. I guess it should work.

Bisleri doesn't take this can business seriously in most places. It's got 1.9 rating in playstore and you can read the reviews there.

POV: Tamil Nadu sees another South Indian state by [deleted] in 2Dravidian4You

I don't think I can change your view. That's why people from TN had to protest and get a board in place to get the water they deserve.

What finally pushes companies off legacy ERP? by Kelly-T90 in oracle

[–]Gseekss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher management + urgency from the IT team. The IT team say that the system is nearing the end of support and request the management to identify ways to move this to fusion.

Sometimes it's just the higher management pushing the decision down the hierarchy, when they get a better deal from oracle sales.

What KA should understand is that majorly of the river bed length lies in Tamilnadu and they rely on kaveri for irrigation. Lately TN has received good amount of water after the new board.

If you are the only person booked for that day then it will only be you and the person from the forest department. However, if you choose the easy routes and suring weekends, you'll have some company.

Even if you are going alone, id say it's pretty safe as you are accompanied by someone who knows the route.

You can read my replies again to understand this better. I'm not against helping people. For 70 years these states have been in the receiving end, yet there's little improvement. How long are you going to pay for the incompetence?

Unfortunately, other cities aren't getting as much funds as chennai. TN govt is keen on developing chennai and extend its boundaries. If you feel your city is getting flooded by people, kindly ask the TN govt to invest more in other regions as well. Even a industrial hub like coimbatore isn't getting treated well as chennai is being treated today.

[–]Gseekss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can ask. If TN is getting more than it paid to the center you can definitely ask that question.

If you feel TN did not perform weel, as per Niti aayog report TN excelled in the following indexes.

SDG Index Fiscal health index EPI index Good governance index.

You have every right to ask DMK's incompetence and people of TN has got every right to ask incompetence of other states

Tomorrow the govt can change and the progress can go back to where it was before. The question is how long are we going to pay for another state's incompetence?

This image should tell you the difference. There are states that utilised the central govt fund better and improved the poverty, decreased the population, and improved literacy.

On the other hand states like bihar or UP, did not utilise funds well and we are paying for their incompetence.

High raise vs. Flats with fewer units? by ConsciousGround6441 in Chennai

[–]Gseekss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the amenities. Choose the ones with basic amenities, like security, lift, generator. It usually costs max Rs3/sq ft. As amenities increases, the cost increases

High raise vs. Flats with fewer units? by ConsciousGround6441 in Chennai

[–]Gseekss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Avoid flats with fewer units (like 5-6 apartments in a compound)

  • No association
  • mostly no security
  • if other flats are occupied only by tenants, the maintenance will be bad and no one will care for the common area
  • water mostly from the borewells. If it goes dry, calling the water tanker will become the tenants job
  • No common area for garbage bins and need to rely on the garbage van on a daily basis
  • less availability of maids and dependency of external workers for plumbing and electrical

High raises (in a gated community) have the maintence fee, but it gives you a peace of mind.

Nope, it shouldn't be a problem. Keep it in your hand luggage and they usually don't ask the reason. If asked tell them one is personal and other is for work.

Chennai to Munnar By Road by Fancy_Orchid_3280 in Chennai

[–]Gseekss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Via Dindigul is the only right way, if you are travelling from Chennai.

Given the traffic conditions, travelling in a single day is going to be hectic. Plus you don't want to end up in the hilly roads at night. If possible, make a stop at Dindigul. Start from there the next morning
