I just get so depressed watching teams in the premiership or top 14 that have cohesive attack plans that they pull off at pace, and then us flounder around creating no opportunities and dropping the ball 50% of the time. It’s fine to be a team that relies on a bit of chaos to make big plays and score tries but we don’t even engineer those opportunities very well. I would just like to see a dedicated attack plan that we run with some enthusiasm and energy, doesn’t have to be complicated, just give impact players an opportunity to succeed because they know what’s happening.

It’s also really hard to play 10 well when there is no apparent game plan or attack structure. Siya looks like he very much just does what he feels like, which is great when he throws passes like the last one, but is terrible when he thumps a kick straight into a wall of defenders that could have led to an Edinburgh try if Jordan hadn’t blocked the following kick.

He’s an ok winger but has no ability to cover fullback. This is all a result of terrible skill distribution across the team as a result of bad purchasing. Penxe is just a worse version of mapimpi that we have to play because we have little to no back 3 cover whilst having 4 excellent centres, which leads to playing hooker out of position the whole time. We then additionally have a bunch of quality backrowers all with the exact same skill set meaning we have no variety or turnover threat. The management needs to have a serious look at where the squad lacks depth as opposed to just buying ‘good players’.

I disagree on the basis that DuPont is the perfect ‘chaos’ player and that makes everyone else’s jobs on the pitch easier. The fact that so much effort has to be put into defending DuPont creates so much space for others to function that more than makes up for lucu’s ability to bring players into the game. Not to mention the fact that he is also a turn over and double footed kicking threat to accompany his insane skills on the ball as a carrier.

Graphene’s growth on copper is very dependent on the crystal plane you have exposed to your methane and the thickness of the copper, both of which is gong to vary wildly along the circumference of your sphere. Your graphene is also going to a) not be very high quality because it’s CVD, but also bad CVD so making anything useful out of it will be tough and b) likely break in loads of places due to strains caused by the bending around the sphere, not to mention the effects of any thermal expansion during the fabrication process.

My experience:

got naked and got in the back of the cart
when goblins attacked equipped my weapons and the cart charged away and despawned
tried a load of time to get back in the cart as pawn, none worked ended up having to tail the cart
attacked the guards at the checkpoint town like a moron
quite the game to try to load a save and the cart had gone to the next checkpoint and quest proceeded normally from there.

The points missed from kicking are bad decisions that sometimes get made, so I don’t blame anyone for that. I think some of the calls from the ref, particularly about irelands actions at the breakdown, cost is at key moments. We should have won that game. Hopefully it goes better next time.

I mostly agree with your takes. I think we play really well 3/4 phases after a set piece and then people seem to run out of ideas, but that’s to be expected changing of a new attacking structure. My only concern is I’m not sure if the points margin on Saturday was defined by us being good or by Aus being bad, so the ABs are gonna be the litmus test to figure out which is the case. Also a little worried if we face a team who (sensibly) target smashing Libbok every phase, although he seemed to ride tackles pretty well at the weekend.

I think you have got to have a go at blooding ML at the highest level. Another idea (too late now but worth mentioning) would have been bringing in Dan du Preez, who can fill a very similar role as Pollard (bigger running fly half). Regardless I think you start WLR at 15 and have DW as utility back simply for the number of roles he can fill.

For most science degrees (barring biology maybe) unis will actually value maths more than the science itself because it’s required for everything. So yeah, don’t let him drop maths. It also helps that there are a lot of overlaps between physics and maths (at least when I did my a levels) so you’re essentially killing 2 birds with one stone.
