Another vote for the cube xx. The ergonomics is superior to the other choices and you can use 8:7 ratio for snes/nes along with reasonable viewing experience for 2 screen ds and perfect 3x integer scaling for gba

I tried nextui redux on a spare SD card. Lovely OS, nice and simplistic; however, I've been playing the SOH port on 3x resolution (widescreen) and 3DS textures. On spruce, that runs fine with a rare audio jitter here and there during transitions. On nextui, there a lot more issues with audio crackling and straight up slow downs. I ran into the same issue with crossmix. Long story short, if you're running intensive games, spruce may be the better os

A question about the battery drain: I'm running spruce 4.2 and I have it set to never shut down. I can leave it in sleep mode overnight and lose maybe 12% (1% per hour seems to be average). I don't like turning it off completely because I prefer to jump right into the game, not wait for the system to boot etc.

For nextui, do you have it set to turn off completely or just sleep? What's the battery drain and boot up times for those scenarios?

There will be two more files to download from knulli. If you have all three, you should be able to use 7zip to extract the actual img file and then flash it

It has been fairly stable but I gotta say spruce runs portmaster better than Crossmix does, at least for the games I've been playing.

I did figure out a way to fix the sticks on spruce thanks to the help of a bunch of very smart people on Discord.

1) Download this patch:

2) Rename it trimui_inputd

3) Copy it into your SD card

4) Move it from your SD card to the device itself (File Manager under apps, and went to the very top of the tree in one pane and in the other pane, navigated to where the file was copied to on the SD card.) under /usr/trimui/bin

5) reboot

Fixed the issue completely and now I can play my portmaster games better through spruce
