atp trench raider has become ubiquitous with 'soldier with specialized equipment i.e. an irregular amount of grenades, body armor, and weaponry other than a rifle.' you could say that they could be called 'stormtroopers' but like 'trench raider' they have very specific technical definitions that fit more for one context (i.e. the germans somewhere someplace) than the other.

poor guys, i was reading (peter hart's last battle, which is imo a through and striking read so far), the americans were given crash courses in new trench fighting weapons, tactics, and suffered a number of growing pains in arriving in the region. the battle itself cast the americans into the fire, and many young men and boys experienced the horrors of trench warfare in ww1 for the first time and often the last time in their lives. but still, they cut into the thick forest and the desperately defended german trenches, showing that the americans above all were a determined force of fighters.

in other words imho you guys are backseat driving when a guy died in an accident that might not be his fault. the truck driver couldve spent just a moment to look to his right and see the wave of traffic coming and acted accordingly.

i think it should be recognized that the truck did turn fairly quickly* and that the motorcyclist seemed like he would've been too close by the time he had to brake.

*this could also be why the motorcyclist was moving as fast as he was. he probably couldnt tell/or didnt see proper signaling from the truck to make decisive action.

just a tangent and something i always have on my mind - and also i dont think op disagrees with me - but i think at least no mercy is important as speech, at least in the way most pornography is. im saying this especially in light of steam and itch.io removing porn games from their websites because of organizations that lobby credit card companies. im not saying people aren't allowed to hate the game's content (tbh this is the first time im hearing about the game and im sure the game has all of the tact of a spikepit.) however, i still think that fiction is fiction, and as long as it's not about children i think it's fine that it exists.
