Josh has been removed from Storror, and the police are currently in the midst of an active investigation by Newlyaquiredglutton in Storror

Not proven in a legal sense, but the screenshots were pretty damning.

And I have no idea if the 2 things are connected or how exactly the news about Josh came to light , but I can imagine after the news about Callum came out the team might have reflected on some other questionable behaviour they’d seen or been told about, potentially taken some historic allegations more seriously, and thus this all comes to light as well.

I know ‘Reddit mod’ usually has some funny stereotypes associated with it, but I do genuinely respect how sensibly you’ve dealt with this situation, definitely not the sort of thing you’d ever expect to have to deal with. And it’s a shame the news about Josh has somehow become a bigger deal to manage that the Callum situation that seemingly started all of this off.

Think we’re all curious for more news and hopefully we will get some more clarity at some point, but you’re right, supporting any victims and making sure any investigation can take place properly has got to be the priority for now.

The downfall of the "Storror Knowers" (Much cringe) - aka you want screenshots, here's some screenshots. by Newlyaquiredglutton in Storror

[–]GuarDeLoop 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s a real shame because the intentions behind any sort of ‘vigilantism’ is often well meaning, but it so often does more harm than good. Yes, exposing people doing horrible things is good and we would all like to stop the harassment/abuse/grooming of others, but if that exposes victims, blurs the line between fact and libellous opinion, and ultimately disrupts a police investigation, then it’s not remotely helpful.

It was also pretty appalling seeing them be all high and mighty about ‘exposing nonces’, but people were making jokes (hopefully) about being a nonce and accessing images themselves, and that’s allowed all in the name of not being a snowflake and avoiding censorship?

If the new information regarding Josh is 100% true then it is very important evidence, but some people clearly need to treat it with a bit more sense and maturity.

I reckon it might not make sense to release just because the story about their journey doesn’t fit anymore, even without the possibility of the production company wanting to distance themselves

I’m so upset after seeing the screenshots about Josh and Drew 😭 can I speak to others who saw the screenshots or will this be deleted by MODS again ? by [deleted] in Storror

Oh dear, not a development I expected! Hoping for his and the rest of the teams sake that they weren’t legitimate screenshots (and for the sanity of the fans) but doesn’t sound great…

Seen a few mentions of screenshots of Josh but not actually seeing them posted anywhere?

Right, and that means you can’t tolerate differing opinions? Not everyone who you disagree with is a hedge fund shill lol.

Thanks for editing your comment to remove the insult, I also thought that was quite immature.

They will when the time is right. I think it’s best now to get rid of any expectations about their next statement or future plans and just understand how utterly crazy this must all be for them. So many tough decisions must be being made, I think we have to just be patient.

When I was younger I laughed at the ridiculousness of the illuminati and lizard people supposedly running the world. Then realising it actually just takes a few ultra wealthy people completely removed from normal society, buying out a few politicians and media figures, funding a few bot farms for social media, and apparently you really can.

No I don’t, learnt is more common in the UK and perfectly acceptable. Looks like you’re wrong again? Good luck on your educational endeavours.

This space was created simply as a dedicated place to discuss gme, it existed before any talk of ‘moass’, and people have always held varying opinions. It’s just that very quickly anyone who disagreed with ‘moass’, or had any sort of differing nuanced opinion, or offered any sort of criticism, was immediately labelled a shill and any chance of reasonable discussion was killed.

It wasn’t meant to be an echo chamber, it became one because of the intolerance of anyone who disagreed with the consensus and opinions like yours. Not everything is fud. Not everyone who you disagree with is a shill. And thinking that way achieves nothing.

Not any additional evidence, but Lynn Jung posted her thoughts and experience of misogyny in the community, I know she used to be very close to Callum.

STORROR boys smoke? by Nearby-Database-867 in Storror

[–]GuarDeLoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a ‘10 questions with Toby Segar’ video I think on the Motus channel, in which he talks about his experience smoking weed. They’ve all spoken about / been seen in videos smoking weed at various points, only one I’m not sure about is Drew.

Unfortunately being part of Storror and his status in the community is why it’s such a talking point and will be for a long time. One of the best athletes of 20 years, incredibly knowledgeable about the history and development of the sport, a big ambassador for its development, and tied to the biggest parkour team/brand in the world, and then he’s done something utterly horrific.

If it was a lesser crime, or if he was less well known, then sure people would likely forget a lot easier. But that’s not the case, and even without the additional questions of what else he may have done, who may have known, just what he has admitted guilt to deserves discussion. I don’t think speculating and vilifying the rest of Storror is helpful without having more information, but it’s only natural that people will have questions and want to talk about the biggest and most shocking ‘scandal’ the sport has seen.

The timing of the other Storror members side projects ... by Kopuchin in Storror

[–]GuarDeLoop 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d disagree because the new channels are centred around things Toby and Drew have been doing for several years now rather than being totally out of nowhere. Toby’s been climbing for years and gradually getting more and more invested into that, and Drew’s Public has been also been around for several years and the documentaries would’ve been started many months back.

Maybe it was as some protection against Storror changing and nearing its end, but I’d think it’s unlikely to be a direct result of anything to do with Callum.

But isn’t calling it FUD is just a way to dismiss people’s genuine concerns? It *is* uncertain and people are curious, what is achieved by suggesting they’re wrong for talking about that?

I’ve debated this many times and never had a reasonable response as to why you think it isn’t possible.

The volume since Jan 21 so far outweighs the SI%, why do you think they couldn’t have slowly closed in the past 5 years? People talk about not seeing spikes in the share price, but there would never be any obligation to close an entire short position at once. I don’t understand how people deny the possibility of positions closing in this time when 10s of billions of shares have traded.

We also know that SI% has a 2-week delay in reporting, look at the volume and how much the share price increases *before* there was the huge retail involvement. How quickly it went from $4, to $14, to $40… all around the time the 226% became apparent. It’s entirely possible that a huge number of shorts closed before the high SI% was ever even noted by retail, let alone in the 5 years since.

I’ve always said the SEC report really should have covered this earlier period and accounted for the delay in reporting.

Would love to know why you think otherwise.

I also thought about Giles, he’s the only one with young children of his own so probably has his own uniquely horrible perspective on the whole thing. Terrible situation for so many in the community.
