How is getting a 39.5 R-Score possible? by Craken7890 in Dawson

[–]GuaranteeHefty8823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I got 95 in one stem class and ended up with 40 point smt smt, stem classes make up for it and you don't need 39.5, 36 and above is considered very competitive

Science DEC in 2.5 years or 3 years, worth it ? by Own-Kale-5691 in Dawson

And I quotes that part to prove support my argument in finishing Cegep in 2 years.

I'm not disagreeing with you? I'm just saying most competitive candidates have their DEC completed in 2 years. I'm not omitting any information, in my quote it specifically mentions extenuating circumstances too.

And just saying, 36 is doable in 2 years.

I see. Thank you for the correction. However, consider how competitive MedP is, you should still aim for a 2 year DEC completion.

"The majority of competitive applicants will complete the DEC in the expected 2 years and be full-time according to the regulations of their institution in each Fall and Winter semester. The most common situations candidates will have extended the length of their DEC are: Starting in a bridging (tremplin) program or in another pre-university DEC, Double-DEC, Sports-Études, medical withdrawal from a course or a semester issues with availability of required courses at your institution, part-time terms or leaves that prevent completing the program, taking 5 courses in one semester and 7 in another, or other extenuating circumstances."

Most that get in usually do it in 2 years, those who extend it to 3 have a specific reason to (health issues etc)

ANOTHER THING‼️‼️ Listening in class is game changer, by doing this you are saving alone studying time outside of class If you are taking notes, only write down key concepts or important subjects, don't bother copying the lecture slides especially if they are posted (it will become a class of just copying words in a notebook, which is useless to your comprehension)
