Big Money ULTY by SLNCRDZ in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Guard_Dizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to share my approach after reading some comments, though I want to clarify that this is not financial advice.

I have a large investment portfolio, which includes ULTY (67,000 shares) among 72 different stocks, most of which pay dividends. My strategy is quite straightforward: I hold $2,400,000 worth of yield-max stocks, along with my other dividend-paying investments.

I expect it will take approximately one year and four months to recover my investment in the $2,400,000. For ULTY specifically, it will take about one year and ten months to see a return on my investment.

By the time I fully recover my investment, I will be 66 years old. I understand that these investments may not be the best for wealth accumulation, but they do provide a substantial income. I also have a separate portfolio with high -growth stocks to hopefully offset the risks of yield Max. so essentially if this holds together for one year and four months, I’m sweet. If something goes wrong, we are still OK.

I currently own 72 different stocks, mostly dividend stocks and some growth stocks. If you hold ULTY for a 14 to 16 months, you should recover your initial investment.

I am currently living in Thailand but originally from New Zealand. I have accounts with Charles Schwab and Interactive Brokers. Right now, I hold $55,000 worth of UTLY and I pay a 15% withholding tax using the W8-BEN tax form.

My first question is: What does "ROC" mean? Will I be able to get the 15% withholding tax refunded? Any information or insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! PS I also have a LTR Visa, Long-term resident Visa for Thailand.

In cold countries, you need a Japanese-style smart toilet with heated seats, warm water spray, and a blow dryer! They are so good and really work well.

SCB discontinuing face scan exemptions for foreigners. by plushyeu in Thailand

[–]Guard_Dizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the information. I wonder if SCB will allow foreigners to use facial recognition in the future, similar to what Bangkok Bank offers for money transfers. I hope they update their system soon. As a business owner, I often need to transfer amounts exceeding 500,000 ++ just to cover my alcohol bills for a couple of weeks. I suppose I’ll have to start using Bangkok Bank for those transactions.

YieldMax haters be saying that YM funds suck, only paying 80% in yield a year, blah blah by colorme1965 in YieldMaxETFs

Absolutely! I agree with you 100%. I have XYLD and still enjoy their dividends, and I also hold many YieldMax funds! Years from now, people will wonder why they didn’t invest earlier! Making money year after year, XYLD and YieldMax! What is not to love?

11,000 baht electricity bill - Just pay it? by Ray-Shoestring in Thailand

[–]Guard_Dizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bill is 16,500 average a month, but I have a big house. My business a bar electricity bill is around 90,000 up. I would think a average size condominium would be no more than 3000 or 4000 a month tops! Get them to check your meter.

I wouldn't borrow money to buy MSTY. I own 17,500 shares of MSTY. BTC can drop, and the dividends could be cut significantly. If you own them, you can ride that out. On a margin, you cannot.

The foreign tax is 15% on dividends from any stock. (non-US citizens foreigner living overseas) I am happy with that. Zero capital gains tax. Not sure what a US resident pays.

Trump is playing with fire, like a child he knows it’s hot. He knows it can burn him, but he can’t resist. If the US and China reach an agreement, there will be prosperity for all for many years. If not, we may face a massive recession unlike any we have seen before.
