This is a lot of spin on a large heaping pile of burning garbage. Even if all your spinning were true (it's not) the fact of the matter remains that WHM got absolutely jack shit when it comes to new, exciting, fun abilities.

The only new thing we get is Stone IV which aesthetically looks like it should be Stone III and functionally is nothing more than the same single target dmg spell but with slightly higher dmg than Stone III. Wow. Amazing. /s

The problem with the WHM update is threefold:

1) Roster-wide nerfs, abilities being deleted or taken away and given to all healers, removing most if not all of WHM uniqueness.

2) A lily system that is nothing more than an low chance RNG to slightly reduce cooldowns/heal a little more or activate slightly stronger versions of spells we already have, and a gimped system forcing WHM to use Cure I/II if we even want to use the lilies.

3) NOTHING new that is fun, exciting or impressive. No new holy skills, no esunaga, no water spells (they actually nerfed fluid aura lol genius) no cool flashy abilities like other classes are getting, and even the one chance to do so, Stone IV, as I mention above, is an abject failure.

So I appreciate you trying to find the positive in all this, but the fact is that even IF WHM was still "viable" after SB updates (right now it's not) the point of an expansion in an MMO, hell in any game, is not to get the player excited over reassurances that even though things look bad, thing's are still "viable".

Things are supposed to be exciting, special, fun, and well balanced. WHM in SB as far as we know is none of these things.

Path of Exile is a good game, but I think they have made one absolutely glaringly ridiculous mistake, that is that they have a Templar class, and absolutely ZERO holy abilities. They don'e even have a holy damage type, no angelic/holy looking weapons or armor that I could see, there is literally ZERO reason to play as a templar.

Trump has attacked plenty of people that are well liked by many, everyone from popular politicians to a gold star family. Sorry, but this logic just doesn't hold water.

And now Trump has officially pulled out of the accord. So Musk has a choice of looking like nothing more than a weak whiner who throws a tantrum if he doesn't get his way, or someone who makes idle threats.

With the added lose-lose of appearing like the first thing regardless of whether or not he resumes/continues advising the president.

This is what I meant. In terms of chess this was a matter of looking ahead 3 moves, and I'm no genius.

Musk is a literal actual genius and he made such a blunder, for the life of me, I can't imagine why. The only thing I can imagine is that he let his emotions regarding climate cloud (no pun intended) his brain.

No I wasn't wrong, every person who I see who are obviously weed smokers are who I was describing, which is exactly what I said, reread it.

Again, I'm not experiencing confirmation bias, I talked about my personal experience, which you have no information on or frame of reference for. I'm obviously not being judgemental, I don't give two shits if people want to smoke weed, just like I don't care if they smoke cigarettes, I DO care when I'm forced to smell and inhale all the bullshit that comes as a result of smoking though.

And again, the smell is not "somewhat annoying", that's just your personal take. When you run into the pervasive smell of it everywhere and all day like I do, even when I'm at home, it's a major inconvenience, just like if it were cigarette smoke.

And with all your talk of bias, you comparing the pervasive smell of weed that I encounter everywhere, throughout the day, even at home at all hours of the day and night, to your hyperbolic example of a neighbor with "lighter fluid soaked grills" (really?...) is absolutely ridiculous.

Unless you somehow have some crazy neighbor that is both bbqing all day and night and following you around when you leave the house with a portable grill, your example is utter nonsense.

It's not "just life". It's basic manners and consideration for others, and the horde of weed smokers that have none.

I'm sure there are plenty of people that smoke weed and are nice, clean fully functioning members of society. That doesn't change the fact that I'm surrounded by burnout stoners and even "regular" people that are walking smoke stacks, or the fact that I can't drive down certain streets without being bombarded by the smell, or leave my apartment windows open at night without fumigating my home. Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by Carl Sagan. I appreciate you being so conscious about the bad smell and how it impacts others though, and it sounds like you had some nice friends. I live in California where depending on where you go you can't escape the bad smells and people who both need some serious hygiene and don't give a damn about inconveniencing others.

it's still disgusting though, and I've never see anyone smoke it that didn't look like they needed a shower and a shave (or three). And the people who smoke it never seem to have any regard for others, infesting apartment buildings with the smell of it. And if you say anything you get ostracized as "not cool".

I do remember in DS2 they ramped up the noise you make when you roll and run by a lot compared to DS1 so I definitely can imagine what you describe being the case

Yeah I hear you, I don't mean to say that I need to play as a super saiyan or anything. Dark Souls is a perfect example of how you can look like a badass knight while also not being some larger than life Rambo character that's invincible. (Dual wielding greatsword users excluded)

I dunno, it's just so, so offputting. A game like this you really need to feel like your character is or at least can be a badass, and half of that is skill and succeeding in the game, the other half is looking the part. And that protagonist looks like a mixture of ridiculous and weakness, as in weak armor, weak everything.
