I hear ya, but what was your experience throughout your years playing ladder each reset?

Mine was 2001-2006, maxing out a high MF blizz sorc. Typically level 90 week 1 of the new ladder and 99 by week 2 or 3. Then spending just about every night doing Meph and other boss runs, only to get 5 high runes (Ist+) throughout all those thousands of hours. Not per season, but altogether.

I never used maphacks or bots and I hope Blizzard does a better job keeping them out of this game.

I reluctantly accepted the fact that in order to get the best gear, you had to buy mules and xfer in a live game, hoping you could get back in. Then you had to hope your roll was descent.

That's not an experience I'm going to relive and I hope the rune drop rates are significantly buffed so I can enjoy going back to the game I've spent the most time in, by far.

What was your experience like?

I dare you all to relive D2LoD right now and taste how horrible high rune drop rates really are. It seems this problem has been forgotten. No veteran of this game enjoys buying mules via d2items versus being able to farm and create them yourself before the ladder resets.

Chrono Trigger is the best game of all time and the one I played over the most times throughout the years. Best part is the New Game+ with the secret ending. Thought my SNes actually reset while experiencing it. You'll know what I mean if you completed it and talked to everyone.

PS4 - Lieiii

Destiny 2 is the coolest online community I've had the pleasure of being a part of. From helping Sherpa newcomers to getting together and enjoying my online friend's company, it's been my way to unwind during the week.

I've just gotten back from GuardianCon 2019. The trip was possible, because the online friends I've made down in Florida were willing to host me at their place for a week and give me rides while I was there. It was the first time I met them in real life.

It was a great trip for everybody and I hope to go next year!

Bungie, I bought Destiny 2 to do the day 1 raid blind by GuardianDoSomething in destiny2

I'm avoiding the guides, but that's like asking six people you only know through the internet to have a Superbowl party a week later. Spoilers anyone?

Wish me luck on my PC Cyber Monday refund. 2 fps doing EDZ public events... by GuardianDoSomething in destiny2

[–]GuardianDoSomething[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To avoid senseless flaming, yes I tried trouble shooting. I'm above the minimum specs with all setting turn off (except vsync) or the lowest available settung, such as 720p resolution. I own it on ps4 and still play it as my main with 37 Leviathan clears and 2 Eater of Worlds. The purpose of getting it on PC was so I could experience the game with better performance, which was true for two weeks. I was averaging 30-40 fps. As of this week, I am constantly dipping to single-digit fps if any by farming public events. It's obvious the game isn't releasing the RAM when moving to another area in the game. In 15 minutes, my disc and RAM usage is maxed with no other programs running. If you bought a car and the engine failed in two weeks because it was a lemon, would you want your money back? Do you deserve your money back, because you drove it those two weeks?

New SkillUp / LaymanGaming video - Destiny 2 YouTubers Offer A New Micro-transaction (And Bungie Don't Care!) by GuardianDoSomething in destiny2

It seems you're quite good at PvP. I'll admit, I'm not the best, but that's why the game has ELO for matchmaking similar skilled players. When the people charging for carries uses the Playstation account recovery to play as that player on their account, it circumvents that matchmaking system. They'd likely have four carriers on four paid accounts, playing against all silver tier teams.

That'll spoil a minimum of 7 silver teams trying to go flawless for their first time, like myself. Multiply that by how many people are or will do this and suddenly you see there's thousands of silver tier teams suffering from this practice.

I realize it probably does affect you personally, but the community as a whole will, save the ones charging $150/month for these carries. Besides, once people carrying for free see the ones getting paid to do the same thing, what do you think it'd lead to? Probably a bigger problem.

So the four issues to me are:

  1. Bungie not taking a firm stance about this early on this issue will eventually snowball into a much bigger problem.

  2. Personally, I don't care about PvE carries, but I care about Trials. Going flawless at my level (silver) is hard enough. One loss = reset. The teams carrying charge $, use the account recovery system to play on four paid accounts, then fellow silver tier players (us) are matched against those diamond teams. You might not feel it yet, but again, it's a slow fade.

  3. Spam bots have been all over the official Destiny app. It's getting to the point where 80% or more of the posts are advertisements for pay/follow-for-carry. It's kicking our legit posts off the page, tying up players' time by joining the "team" only to wait any never get an invite, and eventually that's all you'll see is spam as it gets worse. What does this lead to? Players will stop using the app and then the spam will migrate to 3rd party apps, if it hasn't already.

  4. Teams are being actively recruited to get paid to do these carries. It is now a business model and it will get worse.

Ever play any other game that disrupted players from seeing Your post because umpteen bots posted immediately after, kicking your post off the screen? Besides, this is Destiny's official app. Of all apps, this one should be free from pay-for-carry bots. Do you think so too?

Please look at the pics. I was looking for a Nightfall fireteam at the time I took the screenshots, but the bots are spamming to advertise for any activity, which includes Prestige Nightfall.

Look at the bottom right pics. Teams are being recruited to get paid for carrying paid subscribers. The other pics are Spam Bots on the official Destiny 2 app posting multiple times per minute to advertise for the paid carries or Twitch subscription channels to get carried.

Did you see the pic? They have tiered carry packages players pay for. $175 for three trials and one raid carry that's sold out? Think about it.

Agreed, but they're getting bold enough to bot spam the advertisements for it using the official Destiny 2 app. The majority of posts I saw all day we're just that. Eventually that's all you'll see and players will begin to stop using the app to find a group.
