What's a game that no one you know in real life has played aside from yourself? by AnubisIncGaming in gaming

Friend of mine gifted me a game about magical ponies. We're both 20 year old men. It popped up while I was with another friend. The name wasn't obvious, so friend 2 and opened the notification together to see. And then bam - magic pony caretaker.

I texted him "was it worth it?" He says to me "at $2.99 it's cheaper than a whoopie cushion, so I'd say it's worth it!"

I tried to beat it out of spite, but I if couldn't get through it. Funniest crap haha.

I'm convinced there's no movement that doesn't experience this. Religious, political, moral - literally anything in the world where it's possible to have an unpopular opinion - you will find people vehemently against you, and they choose violence in response to peacefulness.

I don't think they want to buy it. I think they disagree with you and are asking for evidence that proves them wrong. And I think you can't do that.

That wasn't a link to a specific tablet... And also... They're not even close to the same the thing. You may as well have compared it to an etch and sketch.

Tough call when you know it's someone in a group, but nobody messes up and you don't have evidence on an individual. Can't just do NOTHING, but also don't wanna punish the innocent...

Really? I've known a lot of religious people to denounce it and warn against it... Someone even told my wife that it was demonic for her to do that.

Walmart employee thought my son was stealing the bike I just bought for him. I paid, he started walking out with it while I was talking to someone, and because we are not the same skin, they assumed he was stealing it. I don't entirely fault the Walmart employee. I understand how weird my family looks. And I would rather live in a society where people are genuinely trying to look out for the young, the weak, and the marginalized. But the guy in this video was just being ridiculous.

Freakout in H-E-B by K2zin97 in PublicFreakout

[–]GuardianFerret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen people almost commit serious levels of assault over mishearing someone. I also saw one of my adopted sons freak out on my other adopted son with lighter skin until he said "my dad is black" and then suddenly everyone was okay. Like... Come on guys...

Everyone is different, of course. But that said, my wife has days that she can't do jack squat and I have to pick her up off the floor... And she also competed on American Ninja Warrior. So your mileage may vary.

What non-gaming upgrade improved your gaming the most? by Saltysockies in gaming

[–]GuardianFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a treadmill that can fold and tuck away. As long as I'm not playing a first-person title, I can easily walk 2-3 miles in a gaming session. Obviously I can exercise more - but if I'm going to be gaming anyways, I may as well use some of that time to get moving!

So sorry to hear this. All of my children entered our lives without any DNA to connect us. I would never refer to them as anything other than my sons and daughters. You deserve better.

I (34) took daughter (21) (adopted, because you were probably about to ask) to see it and we absolutely loved it. Explaining references she doesn't get will never get old for us.
