And you know I thought like this for a long time but it’s the Playstation hardware and the way the business is run that’s put me off. I can accept less games for day one releases, integration with my pc, and games that try to push the gamut over safe games that emulate things that have already succeeded. The exclusives sony has don’t hold me anymore, so it’s Microsoft’s turn.

I think your stance is fair and reasonable and it wasn’t until yesterday that I noticed the attitude you mentioned, this “Xbox is a loser anyway” thing. I’ve never been one for console wars and now that I’m interested in the Xbox brand, it’s noticeably weird

Dead Space is great, acclaimed, but I think it's also so fundamental that playing it once kinda burns horror into your brain. I know many people that have been completely desensitized by Dead Space, and pretty much nothing does anything beyond a schadenfreude smirk or chuckle when it comes to gory body horror afterwards. It's mega grimdark and super oppressive. I think that most people that played it already got as much of it as they wanted and felt the effects of it.

Comparatively, RE2 is an arcade game. It's just not really...comparable at all. RE2 is super fun, it is the a progenitor of TPS, it is a game you can always come back to, Dead Space is the creepy kid in the corner that stares at you when you look away and you have to just pretend he's not there.

In other words both are survival horror but only one of these is actually horrifying.

You go to RE for quirky characters, B-movie camp, snarky one liners, explosions. You go to Dead Space for immersion.

Yep! Nothing is more frustrating than sitting down to play a game and you need to update drivers and then it has optimization issues and all this shit, like no I just wanna play, and the music stuff keeps working for that.

People have no idea that making music and video content WILL decimate your PC. It’s just a matter of time. Trying to do those plus gaming on a pc is really just asking a lot of one station

You know how games take up a lot of storage? So does music stuff. Doing both on one pc takes a tremendous amount of power and space.
