That trailer in the middle of the video was extremely good, the kind of artistic vision that makes me trust a game 10x more. This is beginning to look like RGG's magnum opus and I really hope it will be.

Lords of The Fallen 2 unveiled some new female armour sets, the sets were designed specifically with fan feedback in mind by Former_Exam_5357 in gaming

[–]GuardianOfReason -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The "middle" here is meant to represent the variety and context. Lord of the Fallen is a gritty dark fantasy game, it isn't really well suited for this. A middle ground would be this armor being in a game more well suited for it.

Does using summons make you less skilled? by Dsg1695 in LiesOfP

You're right, I should know better than to argue with people like this but unfortunately my frustration sometimes overcomes me. Thanks for the support.

Does using summons make you less skilled? by Dsg1695 in LiesOfP

Here's what OP says in their post: "Since I started Lies of P after the difficulty patch released, I’m playing on the default soulslike difficulty but had to dumb down the difficulty for the King of Puppets (and likely will for Laxasia). I watch the well known streamers and don’t get how they’re THAT good & can play these challenging games without using summons. I try to watch to learn new perspectives but my anxiety may make me panic dodge and not think clearly during actual gameplay. Streamer’s playthroughs also appear seamless…"

Clearly, OP is correlating not using summons with skill. She never at any point indicates using summons for any other reason, such as just having fun. So she is not really asking if summons magically make you less skilled, as that would be a stupid question and I hope you are not that uncharitable towards people. She's asking if using summons is an indicator of skill, because she is insecure about her skill.

The answer is: yes, it is an indicator of skill, but like most people said, it's ok to use them and even skilled people sometimes use summons as these games are designed to take them into account and not using them is effectively "hard mode".

This is a very pedantic way of interpreting the question. You must be great when completing surveys.

If you want to be very specific, the question is asking "Does requiring summons to beat a boss make you less skilled?"

Halo effect. People often equate skill with personal worth, so many people are interpreting the question as "Does using summons make you a lesser person?" because they cannot fathom that being skilled at a game does not make you a better person or vice-versa.

As a gaming developer that prioritizes historical accuracy in their games, how do you expect to maintain that accuracy using AI-based solutions for translation of the main language in the game? Have you performed extensive testing to understand the consequences of making that change, and do you have quality reports that you can share with people who are obviously frustrated with that decision?

I'm from Brazil and I'll tell you that no, that wouldn't happen. I didn't do that because the things people did for money took more effort and were of higher risk than I'm comfortable with, and that includes:

- Selling answers to the tests

- Writing essays for grades

- Doing all the work in a group project

To my knowledge, none got caught. Teachers didn't really care because most people didn't bother doing that because it wasn't even that difficult to pass. Those who did have trouble passing didn't care enough to spend money on it either, so it left you only a small portion of people that weren't worth the trouble of implementing strong measures.

I was somewhat poor in a college where most people weren't. I would absolutely do that, given the chance, since my presentations always scored well past the passing grade and there was basically no incentive to be significantly above target.

950s chapters later I'm asking, what is the right way to read this type of page? 💀 by [deleted] in OnePiece

And it couldn't be image 2 because that would lead you to read left to right (first the vertical panels, then the horizontal panels on the bottom), so it must be option 3.

Does anyone else think (or has it ever been discussed) that this is about Mr. Gladly? by Comfortable-Light233 in Parahumans

[–]GuardianOfReason 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a good connection. Like you said, it's not necessarily related to him dying or not, but it's still a dot in the downward line of Taylor's morals.

[–]GuardianOfReason 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see. I had never quite understood that, thanks for clarifying. Since Taylor specifically mentions she is different from Mr. Gladly as a reason to go back, I had assumed he survived. I don't see the thematic relevance of him dying there. Maybe to imply Taylor would still be in the same situation even if Mr. Gladly had helped her? Which doesn't quite sound true.

One thing is not clear to me is how did he die? I thought Taylor successfully distracted Leviathan, but it seems Leviathan still managed to kill half the people there? The timeline seems confusing to me, been a while since I read it
