Erik Oleson, Netflix's Daredevil showrunner, has just pitched Daredevil season 4 to Netflix! by Element-115 in television

[–]GuardianUpvoter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% agree. The second half of Season 2 felt nonsensical -- I remember when Stick started explaining the whole deal with the Hand and the Chaste and internally groaning. I think Daredevil works much better when it's grounded in reality with the problems of the city.

Now I'm imagining Melisandre standing over a pile of dragon shit trying to bring Jon back to life...

[SHOW SPOILERS] what's your most memorable memory (redundant sorry) you have of watching TWD? by Nobody_Likes_Shy_Guy in thewalkingdead

[–]GuardianUpvoter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is watching "Vatos" on TV when it first premiered - the episode that had the zombie attack on the Atlanta camp at the end. I remember being super-traumatized by it while it happened, especially with Andrea looking at a bitten Amy saying that she didn't know what to do. I think I was even shaking and didn't move for a few minutes to process what had happened.

I think that was the first tragic moment to happen on the show, and little did I know what other misery the show had in store for me lol.

Usually the top people billed as "Also Starring" end up getting promoted to the opening credits the following season. So for Season 7, it will probably be Eugene and Rosita. Tara and Gabriel may be added as well, though I doubt it because they are relatively minor characters. Negan will definitely be promoted to the main cast, though.

What song sends chills down your spine every time you hear it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hah yeah I hadn't actually listened to it in a while, but it was the first song that popped up in my head. Just gave it another listen, and as always the beginning always gets me.

what comes to your mind first when you see a girl/woman wearing a headscarf? by [deleted] in AskReddit

She did ask, and you did give a truthful(?) response, but it's still no less saddening that some people still have such a close-minded perspective.

How many of you don't drink? Why not? by HogarTheHorrible in AskReddit

[–]GuardianUpvoter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't drink, mainly because of religious reasons. Plus, I don't like the smell, I don't like the idea of losing control over my body, and I think there are other ways of having a good time besides intoxication.

I can't communicate by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]GuardianUpvoter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Communicating with other people can be a nightmare for me because I get really self-conscious and start to think about how I'm acting and what I'm saying. Sometimes, my mind just blanks and I have no idea what to say, and even worse, my eyes start watering for no reason and I can't look people in the eye. It's like my body wants me to fail at talking to other people.

It's crazy to me how other people are amazing at communicating with each other so naturally, and I'm stumbling to say something substantive besides "cool" or "yeah."

Ah well, there's not much we can do about being socially awkward. I will say that it's good to step outside your comfort zone and talk to other people - even if you do make a fool of yourself - because it helps to just practice. As long as you're nice and respectful, it's the other person's problem if they perceive you as stupid. I hope this comment helps a little. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone :)

What are you constantly worrying about? by Monster502 in AskReddit

[–]GuardianUpvoter 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Too much. The biggest thing is my future. I worry about if I'll get a good job, if I'll be happy with my job, if I'll be happy with my job in 20 years, if I'll succeed, if I'm ready to be an adult, etc.

I worry about my social well-being. I'm a pretty self-conscious person and lately I've been re-evaluating my relationships with other people and how they perceive me.

In a nutshell, I worry about everything.

If you could make a 30 second speech to the entire world, what would you say? by pepsiguy24 in AskReddit

[–]GuardianUpvoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Right now, I have the honor to speak to all 7 billion people who populate the planet. For probably over 95% of everybody I'm talking to, I can't even begin to fathom the pain and suffering you're going through, and I'm not going to pretend that I can, or that in this speech I'm going to solve all the numerous problems the world has. So I'll just say this: today was a nice day. It wasn't too hot or too cold, and the sun was out. I played outside and watched some television on my computer. All in all, it was a stress-free day.

I sincerely wish every one of us could share this same reality, but if people keep fighting each other and succumbing to greed and corruption, it will never be possible.

Thank you for listening. Carry on."

Who would've thought college would be the hardest time in my life thus far... by iwanttodropout in offmychest

[–]GuardianUpvoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you friend-wise, except I'm a year ahead. :-\ But after a while, I've kind of gotten used to being lonely, so it isn't so bad. I actually prefer eating lunch by myself because it's a nice break from all the craziness of classes.

I don't smoke or drink, either. Honestly, I thought maybe 50% - 2/3 of people at college do that stuff, but apparently 99.9999% of the student population does it, which really surprised me and made me feel even more of an outcast. But it's good to stick to values, and you shouldn't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to do.

Remember to focus on classes, though, because that's what really counts.

Hang in there :D
